Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.
Association Business Leave An employee shall have the right to make written application for a leave of absence for Association business for a period not to exceed three (3) days. Written application shall be made at least seven
Interstate Educational Personnel Contracts 1. The designated state official of a party state may make 1 or more contracts on behalf of his state with 1 or more other party states providing for the acceptance of educational personnel. Any such contract for the period of its duration shall be applicable to and binding on the states whose designated state officials enter into it, and the subdivisions of those states, with the same force and effect as if incorporated in this agreement. A designated state official may enter into a contract pursuant to this article only with states in which he finds that there are programs of education, certification standards or other acceptable qualifications that assure preparation or qualification of educational personnel on a basis sufficiently comparable, even though not identical to that prevailing in his own state.
Employee Education (A) At the discretion of the Agency Head or designee, the state may allow employees to attend short courses, institutes, and workshops which will improve their performance in their current position, without a loss of pay and benefits.
Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.
Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.
Unpaid Educational Leave After one (1) year of continuous employment, permission shall be granted for leave of absence for a maximum of one (1) year without pay for study, without loss of accrued benefits.
Employment Relations Education Leave 26.1 The Employer shall grant leave on pay for employees party to this MECA to attend courses authorised by NZNO to facilitate the employee’s education and training as employee representatives in the workplace. Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions. Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.
