Common use of Association Business Clause in Contracts

Association Business. Duly authorized representatives of the Association and its affiliates may, upon providing informational notice to the Superintendent or to the Central Office, transact Association business on school property before or after the regular school day, and during luncheon or free periods of Association members.

Any non-employee representative must check in with the appropriate supervisor or after building principal upon arrival. This section shall not preclude the regular school day, and during luncheon or free periods processing of Association membersgrievances with Employer representatives at mutually agreed upon times.

If the regular school dayprincipal is not present, and during luncheon or free periods the Association representative shall have the right to meet with Employees in accordance with the restrictions of Association membersthis provision.

And further provided, the regular school day, and during luncheon Association’s views on matter relating to supervisor- employee or School Board-employee relationships will not be discussed in the presence of students. Preparation time shall not be considered duty-free periods of Association memberstime.

Such business shall be conducted only after the regular school day, and student day or during luncheon or duty-free periods of Association memberslunch periods. Such representatives shall use designated sign-in procedures.
