Associate’s Degree. Any member who holds an Associate’s degree in an area pertaining to his/her job that is pre-approved by the Superintendent will be paid an annual stipend of $500. Members with an existing Associate’s degree (as of June 30, 2018) may be approved by the Superintendent for the stipend.
Associate’s Degree. Two percent (2 %) of the base hourly rate of pay.
Associate’s Degree. Any full-time employee who has obtained an Associate’s Degree in Police Science shall receive an educational incentive of six hundred fifty dollars ($650.00) additional compensation each year. Verification of degree completion must be received before October 31st of the first year for which the employee submits to receive the educational incentive. Any full-time employee who has obtained an Associate’s Degree in a field other than Police Science, where such degree has been deemed beneficial to the Department and/or indicative of supporting the ability of the employee to better perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position by the Chief of Police, and as approved by the Mayor, shall receive an educational incentive of four hundred fifty dollars ($450.00) additional compensation each year. Verification of degree completion must be received before October 31st of the first year for which the employee submits to receive the educational incentive. Management’s determination of the benefits, or lack thereof, of a non-police science degree, shall not be made in an arbitrary and capricious manner. It shall be the responsibility of the affected employee to submit diplomas, transcripts, and other pertinent material he/she wishes to be considered. This compensation is thebe paid in the first pay period of December.
Associate’s Degree. Any employee who has received an Associate’s Degree shall receive additional compensation in the amount of two percent (2%) of base pay annually. The educational incentive compensation shall be added to the employee's base pay and shall be payable in twenty-six (26) bi-weekly payroll installments.
Associate’s Degree. 3.0% of yearly base salary
Associate’s Degree. A qualifying employee will be eligible to receive two percent (2%) of the employee’s base wage.
Associate’s Degree. Employees with an Associates Degree (AA, AS, etc.) shall receive an annual stipend of $240 paid monthly in increments of $20.
Associate’s Degree. An employee who has completed the probationary period and has attained an Associate’s degree from an accredited college shall receive an additional three percent (3%) of his/her regular base salary.
Associate’s Degree. $500.00 annual stipend in addition to the bargaining unit member’s regular classified placement. The annual stipend shall be compensated over the bargaining unit member’s work year effective July 1, 2022. Payment for degrees earned during the school year will be prorated.
Associate’s Degree. Employees receiving an AA degree in Fire Science or an equivalent degree in a related field as approved by the Fire Chief or his designee shall be advanced by two steps on the applicable pay grade, not to exceed the maximum step in the pay grade. Employees hired with an AA degree in Fire Science or an equivalent degree in a related field, as approved by the Fire Chief or his designee, shall be advanced two steps higher on the applicable pay grade, after having satisfactorily completing the period of probation.
