Assistant At Surgery. Services for a Covered Person by an assistant surgeon who actively assists the operating surgeon in the performance of covered Surgery. Benefits will be provided for an assistant at Surgery only if an intern, resident, or house staff member is not available. The condition of the Covered Person or the type of Surgery must require the active assistance of an assistant surgeon as determined by the Carrier. Surgical assistance is not covered when performed by a Professional Provider who himself performs and bills for another surgical procedure during the same operative session.

  • Distant/ Away Work Where an employee volunteers to be transferred to a distant site, they shall not be entitled to living away allowances or travel expenses. Where an employee is specifically requested to transfer to a distant site, they shall be entitled to living away allowances. All arrangements regarding distant sites shall be formalised in writing and witnessed by another employee. The selection of employees for away work shall be solely at the discretion of the Company.

  • President Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall preside at all meetings of the shareholders and of the Trustees. Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall be the chief executive officer.

  • The President the Treasurer and the Secretary shall be elected by the Trustees upon the occurrence of any vacancy in any such office. Other officers, if any, may be elected or appointed by the Trustees at any time. Vacancies in any such other office may be filled at any time.

  • The Vice-President The Vice President shall have such powers and perform such duties as the Member may from time to time prescribe or as the President may from time to time delegate to him or her. At the request of the President, the Vice President may temporarily act in place of the President. In the case of the death, absence, or inability to act of the President, the Member may designate the Vice President to perform the duties of the President.
