Assigned to Work on a Holiday. A regular full-time employee who does work on a designated holiday will be paid for all hours worked at one and one-half times the employee’s regular rate of pay plus “holiday pay” or, with the approval of the employee’s Department Head, the employee will be paid for all hours worked at the employee’s regular rate of pay and receive another day off with pay within three months following the holiday.

Assigned to Work on a Holiday. Each full-time or part-time police officer who works on any of the above-listed holidays shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1.5) times the officer's regular rate of pay for the hours worked on such holiday, in addition to any other compensation for such holiday.

If Christmas Day and New Years Day fall on Saturday or Sunday, and an employee is called into work on these days, the employee shall report to work, if available. This compensation shall be in addition to the holiday pay which the affected employee shall receive for the observed holiday.
