ARTICLE GENERAL. The Employer and the Union desire that each employee be with the provisions of this agreement and the rights and obligations under it. Copies of the Agreement shall be produced and paid for in alternate years by the Employer and the Union and distributed to the local Union for employees of the Association and the Employer as required. Where a full-time employee is regularly scheduled to work more than twenty-four (24) but less than forty per week then that employee shall be paid at the hourly equivalent of the time rate and receive benefits based on the ratio of hours worked to regular full time hours.
ARTICLE GENERAL. The Company agrees to bear the cost of moving the furniture and other personal belongings of any employee permanently transferred at the Company’s request to another branch of the Company. Personnel shall be allowed time off to vote in Dominion, Provincial or Municipal elections in accordance with the appropriate statute. All employees must be given dated receipts for all monies turned into the Company.
ARTICLE GENERAL. All correspondence between the parties arising out of this Collective Agreement or incidental thereto, shall pass to and from the Director of Education or designate and the President of the Local.
ARTICLE GENERAL. The Corporation agrees to maintain Errors and Omissions Insurance, subject to the terms and conditions of any governing master policy or statutory requirement. It is understood that such Errors and Omissions Insurance may, by mutual agreement, be amended should changes to the Municipal Act preclude the need for such coverage. All employees using their personal vehicle for authorized Corporation business, will be reimbursed the mileage rate in accordance with the City’s policy. It is understood that Construction Inspectors who are eligible under Plan of the City Car Allowance Policy, will be reimbursed at the rate for Plan for any occasional vehicle use, not related to Construction Inspection duties, during the off season. The reimbursement rate is in accordance with the City’s policy. Wherever the singular or masculine is used in this Agreement, it shall be considered as if the plural or feminine has been used, wherever the context so requires.

For this reason, the parties shall share the cost of printing the Collective Agreement, and distribute sufficient copies to the employees. The Employer shall provide bulletin boards for the posting of Union notices. Should the Employer require an employee to submit to a medical examination for the purpose of establishing the employee’s fitness for work or inability to return to work, the employee shall undergo a medical examination by a physician of the employee’s choice. The employee shall direct the physician to provide the Employer with a certificate certifying the employee’s fitness for work or inability to return to work, as the case may be, and the reasons for that certificate. The cost of such a medical examination or certificate shall be borne by the Employer. The Employer may also require a further medical examination and opinion by a qualified specialist physician certifying the employee’s fitness for work or inability to return to work, as the case may be, and the reasons for that opinion. The specialist physician shall be selected by the employee or may be referred by the employee’s physician. The employee shall direct the specialist physician to provide the Employer with the opinion reasons for that opinion. The cost of such a further medical examination and opinion by the specialist physician shall be borne by the Employer. No Pyramiding Employees shall not receive more than one premium or compensating leave for any hour worked. Severance Pay An employee who is laid off shall be paid severance pay at the earlier of the date that the employee advises the Employer in writing that she he waives the right to be recalled or the date the employee’s employment terminates pursuant to section The amount of severance pay shall be one week of the employee’s non-overtime pay for each year of service. The partial year of shall be prorated. For purposes of this section, Service shall be based on the date of employee’s most recent date of hire or December whichever is later. Confirmation of employment Upon an employee’s request, shall provide a letter confirming factual information about employment specific to job title, duties and period employed with the company.
ARTICLE GENERAL. The Company agrees to deductions from the pay of employees and to pay the same to a duly Chartered Financial Institution subject to the following conditions:

Entitlement to sick leave for employees will be based on accumulated service as defined in (ii) of this Letter of Understanding hours worked = 1 month = hours entitlement). Shift Differential Pay The provisions of Article will not apply to employees.
ARTICLE GENERAL. The Employer requires each staff member to confirm in writing by December 15th of each year their current address and telephone number. In addition all changes are to be given in writing on the shift following any change of information. Staff Information Employees in the bargaining unit are required to provide the Employer with their current address and current telephone number.
ARTICLE GENERAL. The Employer will provide bulletin boards for the sole purposeof postingUnionnoticesto its members. The bulletin boards shall be locatedto insure it is visible to all bargaining unit employees. Adequate rest rooms shall be provided and kept heatedand ventilatedand in a sanitary condition. The employee shall cooperate with the Employer in keeping the rest rooms in a clean and sanitary condition. The Employer shall reimburse the Union fifty percent (50%) of the cost of printing this CollectiveAgreement for all bargaining unit employees.
