ARTICLE GENERAL. The Employer and the Union desire that each employee be with the provisions of this agreement and the rights and obligations under it. Copies of the Agreement shall be produced and paid for in alternate years by the Employer and the Union and distributed to the local Union for employees of the Association and the Employer as required. Where a full-time employee is regularly scheduled to work more than twenty-four (24) but less than forty per week then that employee shall be paid at the hourly equivalent of the time rate and receive benefits based on the ratio of hours worked to regular full time hours.

ARTICLE GENERAL. The Company agrees to bear the cost of moving the furniture and other personal belongings of any employee permanently transferred at the Company’s request to another branch of the Company. Personnel shall be allowed time off to vote in Dominion, Provincial or Municipal elections in accordance with the appropriate statute. For this reason, the parties shall share the cost of printing the Collective Agreement, and distribute sufficient copies to the employees. The Employer shall provide bulletin boards for the posting of Union notices. Should the Employer require an employee to submit to a medical examination for the purpose of establishing the employee’s fitness for work or inability to return to work, the employee shall undergo a medical examination by a physician of the employee’s choice. The employee shall direct the physician to provide the Employer with a certificate certifying the employee’s fitness for work or inability to return to work, as the case may be, and the reasons for that certificate. The cost of such a medical examination or certificate shall be borne by the Employer. The Employer may also require a further medical examination and opinion by a qualified specialist physician certifying the employee’s fitness for work or inability to return to work, as the case may be, and the reasons for that opinion. The specialist physician shall be selected by the employee or may be referred by the employee’s physician. The employee shall direct the specialist physician to provide the Employer with the opinion reasons for that opinion. The cost of such a further medical examination and opinion by the specialist physician shall be borne by the Employer. No Pyramiding Employees shall not receive more than one premium or compensating leave for any hour worked. Severance Pay An employee who is laid off shall be paid severance pay at the earlier of the date that the employee advises the Employer in writing that she he waives the right to be recalled or the date the employee’s employment terminates pursuant to section The amount of severance pay shall be one week of the employee’s non-overtime pay for each year of service. The partial year of shall be prorated. For purposes of this section, Service shall be based on the date of employee’s most recent date of hire or December whichever is later. Confirmation of employment Upon an employee’s request, shall provide a letter confirming factual information about employment specific to job title, duties and period employed with the company.
