ARCHEOLOGICAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES. RECIPIENT shall take reasonable action to avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects to the archeological or cultural resources. RECIPIENT shall immediately cease work and notify ECOLOGY if any archeological or cultural resources are found while conducting work under this agreement. In the event that historical or cultural artifacts are discovered at the project site, the RECIPIENT shall also notify the state historic preservation officer at the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation at (000) 000-0000. ARCHEOLOGICAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES. The RECIPIENT must comply with all requirements listed in Executive Order 05-05 prior to implementing any project that involves disturbing soil. Compliance includes coordinating with the Department of Historic and Archeological Preservation and affected tribes. ARCHEOLOGICAL AND CULTURAL RESOURCES. No known archeological or cultural resources have been identified to be present within the affected area. The adjacent Xxxxx River NWR and Flowerdew Hundred Plantation are known to contain significant cultural resources that have contributed to and have the potential to advance our understanding of Virginia prehistory and history. The heritage surviving at the NWR and plantation includes a material culture chronicling Native American culture, initial settlement of the Xxxxx River by Europeans, Native American response to European settlement, Plantation society, military history, and post-Civil War rural agriculture. On the NWR there are 7 known archeological sites, and 53 potential historic locations. One site located across Flowerdew Hundred Road from the affected area was an old mill on Xxxxxx Creek which dates back to the 1700s. It was damaged during the Civil War, but reopened and operated until 1920 (USFWS 2015). No known archeological sites and resources are within the affected area and will not be impacted by the Preferred Alternative.

  • Cultural Resources If a cultural resource is discovered, the Purchaser shall immediately suspend all operations in the vicinity of the cultural resource and notify the Forest Officer. Operations may only resume if authorized by the Forest Officer. Cultural resources identified and protected elsewhere in this contract are exempted from this clause. Cultural resources, once discovered or identified, are not to be disturbed by the Purchaser, or his, her or its employees and/or sub- contractors.

  • COUNTY’S QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN The County or its agent will evaluate the Contractor’s performance under this Contract on not less than an annual basis. Such evaluation will include assessing the Contractor’s compliance with all Contract terms and conditions and performance standards. Contractor deficiencies which the County determines are severe or continuing and that may place performance of the Contract in jeopardy if not corrected will be reported to the Board of Supervisors. The report will include improvement/corrective action measures taken by the County and the Contractor. If improvement does not occur consistent with the corrective action measures, the County may terminate this Contract or impose other penalties as specified in this Contract.

  • Environmental and Social Safeguards 1. The Project Implementing Entity shall ensure that the Project is carried out and implemented in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Environmental Management Plan.

  • Health and Safety Training Regular employees and auxiliary employees in posted positions shall participate in a Health and Safety Training session once in a calendar year. The training program offered by the Employer must be approved by the joint Health and Safety Committee prior to such training commencing. Training will be provided during normal work hours and employees shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits.

  • Health and Safety Plan 5. Xxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes. The Department expressly disclaims any liability that may result from implementation of the Health and Safety Plan by Xxxxxx. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
