Common use of Arbitration Costs Clause in Contracts

Arbitration Costs. The costs of any proofs produced at the direction of the arbitrator, the fee of the arbitrator, and the rent, if any, for the hearing room shall be borne equally by the parties. The expenses of any non-member witnesses shall be borne, if at all, by the party calling them. The fees of the court reporter shall be paid by the party asking for one; however, such fees shall be split equally if both parties desire a reporter or request a copy of any transcript or if a written transcript is requested by the arbitrator. Any affected member in attendance for such hearing shall not lose pay or any benefits to the extent such hearing hours are during his/her normally scheduled working hours on the day of the hearing.
