Appropriate Facilities. Facilities in the UM learning environment The vision for the UM learning environment as expressed in the Strategic Programme 2017-2021 ‘Community at the CORE’ is that the learning environment is open, inclusive, and evokes a sense of engagement and community. The premise is therefore to develop and xxxxxx a physical and digital learning environment which supports PBL and CORE, supports a mixture of cultures and experiences, and supports an engaged, active community. Challenges and ambitions for the coming years For the ambitions within this theme the first priority is to adhere to the policy of facilitating self-directed learning for students, by providing ample and adequate study spaces. This not only supports students in their learning process, it also helps to build the student community as they also serve as attractive meeting places for students. Currently, UM offers over 2,500 study spaces in a variety of setups, which already results in one of the best study spaces per student ratios in the Netherlands (source: joint inventory of learning spaces conducted by the Dutch university libraries, 2017). Nevertheless, during peak periods there is a lot of pressure on the available study spaces. Since this mainly concerns peak periods, increasing the capacity year-round would be inefficient. It makes more sense to look at extending the opening hours of university buildings and making educational rooms available for self-directed learning in the peak periods. Furthermore, since the university libraries have many study spaces, UM wants to experiment with opening the university libraries 24/7 during exam weeks. UM expects to grow in student numbers in the coming years. This growth will inevitably be accompanied by an increase in (floor space in) university buildings. UM wants to maintain the favourable ratio of study spaces per student and will therefore ensure that the current ratio will not be adversely impacted by the increase in square meters. To be more specific, new buildings that will be used by UM for educational purposes will be structured in such a way that the overall ratio of study spaces per student will remain the same. Furthermore, common rooms where students and staff can meet and work in an informal setting are highly appreciated by students and help to enhance a sense of connectedness. Appropriate Facilities. The ratio of study spaces is monitored every two years and where needed more study spaces are realised. • Faculties have updated the physical learning facilities. A more detailed description of the situation will be available once the faculty plans have been approved (in December 2018). • UM will have experimented with 24/7 opening hours of the libraries in peak periods. Depending on the results of this experiment, the opening hours will be structurally extended during peak periods or not. • UM will have extended opening hours of some other buildings during peak periods to make more study spaces available for students.

  • Alternate Facilities If under Purchaser’s Operating Schedule, roads needed for the removal of Included Timber differ substantially from Specified Roads, other roads may be added to A7. Contracting Officer shall assure that road routing, location, design, and needed easements will make such other roads acceptable as parts of the National Forest transportation facilities. Purchaser shall provide survey, design, and construction staking for such other roads. Based on design quantities from such engineering, Forest Service shall estimate Specified Road construction costs of alternate facilities, using methods consistent with those used in the original computation of the Schedule of Items. If Specified Road construction costs for acceptable alternate facilities are less than the estimated costs of facilities listed in the original Schedule of Items that Purchaser does not construct, Timber Sale Account shall be adjusted by Forest Service to reflect the reduction in costs. In event of rate redetermination under B3.3, such allowed costs shall be the redetermined estimated costs of facilities listed in the original Schedule of Items that Purchaser does not construct.

  • State Facilities If the State makes space available to the Party in any State facility during the term of this Agreement for purposes of the Party’s performance under this Agreement, the Party shall only use the space in accordance with all policies and procedures governing access to and use of State facilities which shall be made available upon request. State facilities will be made available to Party on an “AS IS, WHERE IS” basis, with no warranties whatsoever.

  • Employee Facilities Employee Facilities. Restrooms and attendant facilities shall be provided as required in the orders and regulations of the State of Washington Department of Labor and Industries. A good faith effort will be made by the Employer to provide facilities for employees’ personal belongings.

  • PUBLIC FACILITIES Supplier’s employees may be required to perform work at government- owned facilities, including schools. Supplier’s employees and agents must conduct themselves in a professional manner while on the premises, and in accordance with Participating Entity policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.

  • Shared Facilities The Parties acknowledge and agree that certain of the Shared Facilities and Interconnection Facilities, and Seller’s rights and obligations under the Interconnection Agreement, may be subject to certain shared facilities and/or co-tenancy agreements to be entered into among Seller, the Transmission Provider, Seller’s Affiliates, and/or third parties pursuant to which certain Interconnection Facilities may be subject to joint ownership and shared maintenance and operation arrangements; provided, such agreements (i) shall permit Seller to perform or satisfy, and shall not purport to limit, its obligations hereunder, and (ii) provide for separate metering of the Facility.
