Apprenticeship or Traineeship. The University may offer Fixed-Term Employment to an apprentice or trainee employed under an apprenticeship or traineeship approved by a training authority, or a person employed under a special Commonwealth or State Government employment or training scheme. Specific conditions for trainees are covered in Schedule E of this Agreement.

Notice of Cessation or Re-offer of Fixed Term Employment A fixed term Staff Member may be offered a further contract of employment. Unless such an offer is made and accepted, or the Staff Member’s employment is terminated earlier in accordance with sub clause 3.7.11 the Staff Member’s employment will end on the specified end date or occurrence of the contingency specified in the contract of employment. Where the University makes a determination to continue a position with the same or substantially similar duties, or where there have only been inconsequential changes to the position, the Staff Member will be offered further employment in the position provided that: he/she was initially appointed through an externally advertised competitive selection process; and he/she is demonstrating satisfactory performance in all aspects of the position; and in the case of substantially similar duties, the University is satisfied that he/she has the capacity to meet any new duties or competencies that may be required.
Apprenticeship or Traineeship which is a work activity where a Staff Member is under a formal government-sponsored or approved traineeship or apprenticeship. Such a Staff Member is to be engaged for a period not exceeding the period of the apprenticeship or the traineeship.

  • Apprenticeship Program 62. The parties agree to meet to discuss the development of mutually agreeable apprenticeship programs. The specific provisions of the apprenticeship programs shall be subject to agreement between the City, the Civil Service Commission (where appropriate), and the Union.   • APPRENTICES 6.36.1 The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that, if this Contract involves a dollar amount greater than or a number of working days greater than that specified in Labor Code Section 1777.5, this Contract is governed by the provisions of Labor Code Section 1777.5. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure compliance with this Article and with Labor Code Section 1777.5 for all apprenticeable occupations.

  • Traineeships 10.1 The minimum rates of pay for Trainees are specified in Schedule A, Part 3, to this Agreement.

  • Apprenticeship Requirements The Contractor shall comply with Section 230.1(A), California Code of Regulations as required by the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards by submitting DAS Form to the Joint Apprenticeship Committee of the craft or trade in the area of the site.

  • Apprenticeship and Training It is agreed that all Employers covered by this Agreement shall contribute a sum as listed in Schedule "A" herein for each compensable man-hour of Carpenters, including supervisory employees when covered by this Agreement. Said contribution shall be made to xxx Xxxxxxxxxx- Employers Apprenticeship and Training Trust Fund of Washington-Idaho the manner as set forth in the Trust Agreement of said Trust. The details of such Apprenticeship and Training Plan established by this Trust Fund and this Trust Fund itself shall continue to be controlled and administered by a Joint Board of Trustees composed of equal representation of labor and management who are signators to the Trust Agreement of the aforesaid Trust Fund. Each Trustee appointed by the Union shall be a member of the Union and employed by the Union and each Management trustee shall be a salaried executive or officer of a signatory Employer, or an employee of an Employer association, on behalf of its member employers.
