Appointments and Staff Changes. Filling Positions by Competition All vacancies and new positions covered in the scope of this Agreement which the Employer wishes to fill and which involve promotion, transfer or permanent employment shall be subject to in-service competition. Where the Employer and the Union reach an agreement, bulletining may not be required for that particular position. Out-of-scope positions that become vacant shall be posted as per Articles 10.3, 10.4 and 10.5, and may be concurrently advertised outside the bargaining unit. Job Postings Job competitions shall be posted within 30 days of a vacancy occurring within the bargaining unit, and shall allow a minimum of eight (8) days for applications to be submitted and shall be announced in the form of a bulletin board posted in the Association's office. (With mutual agreement of union and management, it may be extended beyond 30 days.) All casual employees shall be informed by mail, text, or email on the date of the posting or as soon as possible. Information of Posting The bulletin shall set out the following information:

An employee whose permanent part-time position is abolished as a result of an increase in hours to permanent full-time, shall be placed on the re-employment list if they are not the successful applicant in the resulting posting.
