APPOINTMENT TO A POSITION IN A LOWER. LEVEL CLASSIFICATION The Employee will be appointed at an appropriate salary step of the lower level classification in consideration of the experience and qualifications that the Employee is bringing to the lower level classification. In no case may the Employee be appointed at a salary which is greater than the Employee's current salary.
