APPLICATION REQUIREMENT. Any employee may apply for the vacant position by submitting an internal application and resume (resume not required for lateral transfer) within six (6) business days of the vacancy posting to the District Office. Employees who do not meet this deadline may apply with external application deadlines to be considered for the position alongside external applicants and with no priority consideration. An employee on leave of absence during the posting period may have his/her application and resume submitted to the District by the deadlines. However, the District may take in to account the duration of the employee’s leave of absence and the District’s need to fill the position before the employee returns in making its employment decision. The District shall give all employees serious consideration for employment in any vacant position for which they apply in a timely fashion, provided they meet the minimum requirements as posted and will be available to start in the vacant position within the timeframe the District requires.
