Those employees not taking insurance will be required to utilize at least one hour PTO each payroll during the period of disability (or approved FMLA leave). An employee may elect to use more PTO hours each payroll, to equal his or her regular net salary. If the employee is not on the payroll, he or she will be required to pay 100% of health, dental and vision insurance premiums.

Application of Uniform CBA Supplement. Article 2 of the Employer’s Uniform CBA Supplement is incorporated by reference. For purposes of that Article: The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) or ten (10) or twelve (12) hours per day unless altered by the Sheriff. The Sheriff reserves the right to change the length of the workday and shall provide the bargaining unit with written notification at least 30 days prior to the implementation of the change. For employees regularly scheduled to work eight (8) or ten (10) hours per day, the normal tour of duty shall be 40 hours per week. For employees regularly scheduled to work twelve (12) hours per day, the normal tour of duty shall be 84 hours over a 14-day period. Employees shall be entitled to rest or break period of not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes duration at or near the midpoint of each half shift and one thirty (30) minute lunch period at or near the midpoint of their shift. For employees regularly scheduled to work eight (8) or ten (10) hours per day, time and one-half (1 1/2) an employee’s regular straight time rate shall be paid for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a work week. For employees regularly scheduled to work twelve (12) hours per day, time and one-half (1 1/2) an employee’s regular straight time rate shall be paid for all hours worked in excess of 84 hours in a 14-day tour of duty. Compensatory time off accrual shall be capped at one hundred twenty (120) hours per employee, and any overtime worked will be paid in cash to an employee with a compensatory time off bank greater than one hundred twenty (120) hours. When, as result of performing the employee’s job duties, an employee is required to make a court appearance or an appearance before an administrative agency during off- duty hours or required to report for duty employee off-duty hours, the employee shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours at time and one-half (1 1/2) employee regular hourly rate of pay or for the actual time necessarily spent at the court or agency or at work at time and one-half (1 1/2) employee regular hourly rate of pay, whichever is greater. As a condition of receiving such payment, the employee shall assign employee court appearance fee to the Employer. Application of Uniform CBA Supplement. Article 2 of the Employer’s Uniform CBA Supplement is incorporated by reference. For purposes of that Article: The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) hours per day. The normal work week shall consist of forty (40) hours per week. Employees shall be entitled to rest or break period of not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes duration at or near the midpoint of each half shift. Employees who work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid for all such hours worked at one and one-half (1 1/2 ) times their regular straight time hourly rate. Compensatory time accumulation is capped at a total of eighty (80) hours. With regard to the Uniform CBA Supplement, employees in this bargaining unit are also subject to the following: Employees in this bargaining unit shall be covered by and paid in accordance with Appendix “A” made up of 1) the attached list of job classifications and pay grades; and 2) the attached Employer compensation schedule of annual steps. In the event a Child Care Worker assumes temporary supervisor duties for a minimum of an eight (8) hour shift, the employee shall be compensated at a rate which will be determined by using the Supervisor's classification range, at the first step which represents a minimum increase equivalent to a one-step increase in their current pay range.
