Application of Certain Terms and Provisions to the Guarantor. (a) For purposes of any provision of the Indenture which provides for the delivery by the Guarantor of an Officer’s Certificate and/or an Opinion of Counsel, the definitions of such terms in Section 1.2 shall apply to the Guarantor as if references therein to the Company or the Guarantor, as applicable, were references to the Guarantor.

For purposes of any provision of this Indenture which provides for the delivery by the Guarantor of an Officers’ Certificate and/or an Opinion of Counsel, the definitions of such terms in Section 1.01 hereof shall apply to the Guarantor as if references therein to the Issuer or the General Partner, as applicable, were references to the Guarantor. Upon any demand, request or application by the Guarantor to the Trustee to take any action under this Indenture, the Guarantor shall furnish to the Trustee such certificates and opinions as are required in Section 16.06 hereof as if all references therein to the Issuer were references to the Guarantor.

For purposes of any provision of the Base Indenture (as amended by this First Supplemental Indenture) which provides for the delivery by the Guarantor of an Officers’ Certificate and/or an Opinion of Counsel, the definitions of such terms in Section 1.01 of the Base Indenture hereof shall apply to the Guarantor as if references therein to the Company or the Guarantor, as applicable, were references to the Guarantor. Any request, direction or demand which by any provision of the Base Indenture (as amended by this First Supplemental Indenture) is to be made by the Guarantor shall be sufficient if evidenced as described in Section 16.03 of the Base Indenture as if references therein to the Company were references to the Guarantor. Any notice or demand which by any provision of the Base Indenture (as amended by this First Supplemental Indenture) is required or permitted to be given or served by the Trustee or by the Holders of Notes to or on the Guarantor may be given or served as described in Section 16.03 of the Base Indenture as if references therein to the Company were references to the Guarantor and addressed as follows: to Citizens Communications Company, 3 Xxxx Xxxxx Xxxx, Xxxxxxxx, Xxxxxxxxxxx 00000, Attention, General Counsel, Telecopier No. 200-000-0000. Upon any demand, request or application by the Guarantor to the Trustee to take any action under the Base Indenture (as amended by this First Supplemental Indenture), the Guarantor shall furnish to the Trustee such certificates and opinions as are required in Section 16.05 of the Base Indenture as if all references therein to the Company were references to the Guarantor.
