Appearance in Court. Appearance in court or agency as a litigant, provided that each date of necessary attendance shall be certified by the clerk or other authorized officer of a court or other governmental jurisdiction. Unless the District has hired a substitute for that day, the employee must return to work in cases where it is not necessary to be absent the entire day.
