Anticipated Sick Leave. Notification of absences under this Article must be given to the designated representative of the appointing authority as early as possible on the first day of absence. If such notification is not made, such absence may, at the discretion of the appointing authority, be applied to absence without pay.

Anticipated Sick Leave. When an employee knows in advance that sick leave will be required, he or she shall request sick leave at the time the necessity for the leave is determined. Employees assigned to duty stations which have more than one 8-hour shift will provide notification at least one hour prior to beginning of the assigned shift.
Anticipated Sick Leave. Sick leave may be taken in excess of the amount they accumulated, but not in excess of the total amount which would be accumulated at the end of the fiscal year. Such usage of anticipated sick leave will be dependent upon the employee's department head and the Village Administrator. Upon separation from the service, the employee shall be charged for sick leave taken in excess of the amount accumulated.
Anticipated Sick Leave. An employee may use sick leave for personal medical needs, appointments, or medical attention, bereavement, care of a family member in general, care of a family member with a serious health condition, and adoption related purposes. Anticipated Sick Leave. If a permanent employee runs out of sick leave, the manager may permit the employee to anticipate from their next allocation according to the table below (or where this is not sufficient, any other basis considered appropriate by the manager). However, if the employee resigns before their next allocation is due, this anticipated sick leave will be deducted from their final pay.   • Sick Leaves a. After the first year of full-time employment, a full-time faculty member who, by reason of personal illness or a medically certified disability is incapable of performing the regular duties of a faculty member, shall be entitled to a sick leave, with full pay (in lieu of contract salary which otherwise would be earned), for a period not to exceed six months. In no event, however, shall the University’s payment for sick leave exceed one-half (1/2) of the faculty member’s then prevailing annual contract salary. If the faculty member receives governmental disability benefits and/or workers’ compensation benefits during the period of absence, the faculty member shall be paid the difference between the benefits received and the benefits provided above.

  • Sick Leave Days Subject to paragraphs d) i-vi below, permanent full-time Teachers will be allocated eleven (11) sick days at one hundred percent (100%) salary in each school year. Teachers who are less than full-time shall have their sick leave allocation pro-rated.

  • Sick Leave The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness.
