Annual Vacation Selection Process. Employees shall follow the “Department Annual Employee Selection Process”. Annual vacation selection shall be completed no later than January 15 of each year. Annual vacation selections shall be completed by using the shift seniority of each shift member.

Annual Vacation Selection Process. 23.6.1 The annual selection of vacations will be handled by routing a vacation schedule through all of the employees in the work group, in Company seniority order, until all individuals have had an opportunity to select from available vacation weeks. Upon conclusion of the initial routing of the vacation schedule, the vacation schedule will be routed a second and final time, in the same manner, for the scheduling of Day-at-a-Time Vacation and Personal Holidays in full-day increments.
Annual Vacation Selection Process. On or about January 3rd of each year, the Chief or designee will circulate forms to sworn employees on each separate shift with the rank of Sergeant and below so they may list their choice of vacation periods during the calendar year. Among Communications Officers, selecting vacation shall be done solely on the basis of seniority and not on individually scheduled work shifts. Employees will be notified, in writing, on or about January 3rd of each year during this agreement, the date on which they will individually be required to submit their vacation form(s) to the Chief’s designee. No employee will be permitted to submit an initial vacation form listing more than one starting or more than one ending date. Failure of any employee to submit a vacation request prior to the deadline as described herein, will constitute a waiver of the employee’s right to make a vacation selection until the process is again repeated on the basis of seniority. Further, commencing on or about January 3rd of each year during the term of this Agreement, the Chief or designee will conspicuously post and continuously update a yearly calendar clearly showing those vacation times selected by employees in the manner provided under this section. Such conspicuous posting will afford all employees an opportunity to determine which vacation dates remain available during any calendar year prior to making the selection and submitting their form. Employees will be permitted to provide the department a written proxy authorizing another named employee to submit their vacation request form in their absence. All vacation times selected must be on the basis of the unused and accrued vacation for which the employee would be eligible at the commencement of the time selected. After all employees have been provided an opportunity to make a vacation selection, the selection process will be repeated in a manner identical to the first selection process. Vacation selected during the months of January, February and March is considered open and are not subject to the selection process. During these open months, employees may, on a first come first serve basis, regardless of seniority, select vacation. Open month vacation requests shall be granted by the employer provided the employee submits such requests at least one (1) month in advance of, but not more than one (1) year before, the start date of the intended vacation.   • Vacation Selection Beginning January 2 of each calendar year, employees will be scheduled a time, based on seniority, to select up to three (3) segments of available vacation leave during the time period of April 1 through March 31. A “segment” is one (1) or more contiguous days of vacation leave. No segment shall include more than ten (10) consecutive days of vacation leave in June, July, and/or August, provided that an employee may select contiguous segments of vacation leave. Each employee will be guaranteed one (1) scheduled workweek of vacation leave if requested as one of their segments. Off-shift times to select a vacation will not be considered as “time worked” for purposes of computing callback or overtime. If an employee is unable to be present during their scheduled time they may make their choice by telephone, email, or another individual with written documentation of designation, may select a vacation segment(s) for the employee. If the employee fails to select their vacation during their assigned time, the Employer may proceed with scheduling. The employee will be provided an opportunity to select their segment(s) at a later date when they are available. The Employer will publish the vacation schedule by March 1, after considering requests, as well as Agency program needs. Employees will complete a Leave Request Form no less than thirty (30) days prior to any approved vacation segment taken.

  • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings. After one thousand (1,000) days worked, auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of six percent (6%) of their regular earnings.
