Annual Vacation Scheduling. (a) Subject to the operational requirements of the Employer, the accumulated vacation of a Nurse shall be scheduled within each fiscal year (April 1st to March 31st).

Annual Vacation Scheduling. M.12.1 Each facility or work unit will post a vacation request schedule once a year beginning November 1st, for a period of thirty (30) days, for vacation preferred between January 1st and December 31st of the following year. Each employee shall have the opportunity to select, based entirely upon their state seniority, the entire amount or any part of vacation time earned in the current year, prior to the schedule being filled in by the next senior person. To receive priority, vacation leave requests must be for three (3) consecutive work days or more. Vacation leave requests for less than three (3) consecutive work days will be considered, but with no priority. Upon completion of current year scheduling, employees may be allowed to schedule any carry over vacation, on a first come, first served basis.

Annual Vacation Scheduling. A. During January of each year, and no later than February 1, employees shall be granted an opportunity to request Annual Vacation Picks (AVP) time in order of department seniority. The January selections shall be for the period from February 1 to January 31 of the following year. Each employee in turn will have an initial choice of vacation. Vacation selections can be for as many shifts/hours as the employee desires, not to exceed the total number of vacation leave hours the employee will have accrued by the date of the requested vacation, provided the vacation shift/hours are taken consecutively. Once the most senior employee makes an initial vacation selection, the next most senior employee will make an initial selection of vacation shifts/hours. This process shall continue until all employees have an opportunity to make an initial selection of vacation. After all employees make their initial selections, second-choice vacation selections will occur. Second-choice vacation selections will be done in the same manner as the first-choice selections. After the second-choice vacation selections are completed, the third-choice selections can begin and so on until no one wishes to choose any more vacation time.
Annual Vacation Scheduling. ‌ Vacations shall be scheduled between January 1 and December 31 each year and shall be posted by May 1st of each year. Vacations will be distributed as equitably as possible among Nurses by the Nurses’ Union and in the event of a dispute the final decision will be the prerogative of management. Vacations can be carried over to another year where mutually agreeable to the Centre and the Nurse. This provision is not applicable to a Casual Nurse (except a Casual Nurse in a Temporary Position).
