The rooms should be maintained at a temperature of 25 ±2 °C and humidity of 50 ±10 percent with a 12-hour light/dark cycle per day. The rats should be isolated for at least 7 days prior to use.

Animal Care. Adopter agrees to provide the following care to maintain the good health, condition and happiness of your new animal: Annual Veterinary Care – Rabies and Distemper vaccinations, parasite checks, dental care, ear care, Heartworm and flea preventative, as well as any additional necessary and reasonable veterinary care. Adopter moreover agrees to take Animal to be examined by Adopter’s Veterinarian within one (1) month of the date of adoption. Additionally, Adopter will take Animal to a Veterinarian of choice for annual care including general examination, vaccinations, fecal testing, heartworm/lyme testing, annual preventatives as well as any additional necessary and reasonable veterinary care. Initials: Adopter understands Furry Friends Network requires all Adopted Animals as well as resident Animals in Adopter’s home be tested annually for Heartworm and Lyme Disease and the Animal be given a monthly preventative such as Sentinel, Heartgard or another heartworm preventative product that is purchased from Animal’s Veterinarian. Adopter agrees to provide proof of testing and purchased preventatives to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. Additionally, Adopter gives permission to Furry Friends Network to verify such care directly with the Veterinarian office. Adopter will provide proof of annual care to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. A preventative approach to common diseases will be taken, including the use of Footbathing, Ivomec drenching, 6-in-1 vaccination and lice control.
