Animal Care. (A) The animals should be housed in environmentally controlled rooms with 10 to 15 air changes per hour. The rooms should be maintained at a temperature of 25 ±2 °C and humidity of 50 ±10 percent with a 12-hour light/dark cycle per day. The rats should be isolated for at least 7 days prior to use.

Adopter agrees to provide the following care to maintain the good health, condition and happiness of your new animal: Annual Veterinary Care – Rabies and Distemper vaccinations, parasite checks, dental care, ear care, Heartworm and flea preventative, as well as any additional necessary and reasonable veterinary care. Adopter moreover agrees to take Animal to be examined by Adopter’s Veterinarian within one (1) month of the date of adoption. Adopter agrees to provide proof of testing and purchased preventatives to Furry Friends Network within one (1) month of the Veterinarian visit as requested. Additionally, Adopter gives permission to Furry Friends Network to verify such care directly with the Veterinarian office. Animal Care. Researchers and Suppliers must provide living conditions for research animals that are appropriate for their species and contribute to their health and well-being. Personnel who care for animals or who conduct animal studies must be appropriately qualified regarding the proper care and use of animals in research.

Animal Care. The cat or dog must have up-to-date vaccination records on file in the Office of Residence Life. Cats or dogs with serious medical ailments, which can be hazardous to the hall community, cannot remain on campus. The cat or dog must wear an accurate identification tag and rabies tag. The cat or dog must be fed and watered inside the apartment. Pet food and water is not to be left outside of the apartment at any time. The cat or dog must be spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. If the cat or dog is to be left unattended for more than 24 hours at a time, the owner must make appropriate accommodations. Acceptable accommodations include having the cat or dog boarded; kept at another live-in professional staff member’s apartment, monitored every six to eight hours, or kept off campus.
Animal Care. 6.1 TAb and MH will agree on methods for handling the sheep which are designed to minimise the risk of illness and disease during the term of this agreement. A preventative approach to common diseases will be taken, including the use of Footbathing, Ivomec drenching, 6-in-1 vaccination and lice control.

Animal Care. 6.1 The City shall promptly transport injured dogs to a veterinarian, if the owner of the animal is unknown or cannot be located in a timely fashion. The City will be responsible for the payment of veterinary fees to keep the animal comfortable. Once the animal has been treated and released from the veterinary clinic, the City may transport the dog to the Society.
