Common use of Amount of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Amount of Sick Leave. After two (2) months' employment, a full-time employee shall be entitled to one and one-half (1½) days sick leave with pay for each calendar month worked; such sick leave to be cumulative from year to year. Further sick leave with pay, within any yearly period shall be left to the discretion of the Sick Bank Committee. In cases where the Employer has reason to suspect abuse, an employee may be required to produce a certificate from a medical practitioner for any illness, certifying that they were unable to carry out their duties due to illness. The Employer shall pay the cost, if any, providing that the employee provides a receipt.
