Alternative Work Week. The Palomar Community College District may establish and modify within its discretion, and with the concurrence of the CCE/AFT, alternative workday and workweek schedules for bargaining unit employees pursuant to the Education Code Section 88040.

Alternative Work Week. If scheduling permits, management has the option to implement shifts of three (3) days at thirteen (13) hours straight time or three (3) days at twelve (12) hours straight time, subject to the terms and conditions as per Federal Legislation. Overtime would be calculated and paid after the completion of the modified work day. During the process of negotiations for a new Collective Agreement, the Parties agreed to Article 13.1.2 (New) which provides for an alternate work week consisting of four (4) days at ten (10) hours each. The following Articles of the Collective Agreement will therefore require amendment as they apply to this work week:
