Alternative Work Assignments. Temporary When an employee’s standard 2020/21 assignment requires work/services at a District work site and the employee cannot work at the District work site temporarily due to conditions identified in Employees with COVID-19/Suspected COVID-19, Quarantined Due to Possible Exposure to COVID-19, or Higher Risk for COVID-19 Complications Employees, the District will provide the following accommodation, where possible: assigning the employee to available work that can be provided remotely from home on the condition that the employee is qualified, prepared and willing to provide such services. When choosing from among multiple employees for the same available assignment, the District will prioritize employees in the following order:
Alternative Work Assignments. Temporary 40 Employees may be assigned to available work that can be provided remotely from home or in a private 41 work setting on the condition that the employee is qualified, prepared, willing to provide such services, 42 and assuming such work can be provided. 44 When choosing from among multiple employees for the same available assignment, the District will 45 retain the right of assignment but will consider employees in the following order:
Alternative Work Assignments. When an employee’s assignment requires work/services at a District work site and the employee cannot work at a District work site under the conditions above, the District will attempt to accommodate these circumstances by assigning the employee to available work that can be provided remotely from home on the condition that the employee is qualified, prepared, and willing to provide such services. When choosing from among multiple employees for the same available assignment, the District will prioritize employees who hold the appropriate training, licensing, endorsement or other qualifications for the position in the following order: • Higher risk employees or employees with a higher risk individual in the employee’s household; • Employees who cannot wear a mask or other required PPE; • Employees with children impacted by school closure; • Employees caring for someone with COVID-19/suspected COVID-19; • Employees quarantined due to possible exposure to COVID-19; • Employees who have other medical concerns not addressed above will be considered on a case-by-case basis If two or more employees have equal priority under the conditions above, the District will use District seniority to make the assignment. If a remote assignment is created and assigned to an employee with the expectation that it will continue for the entire school year, the District will not be required to reassign employees previously awarded such assignments in order to accommodate remote assignments for other employees whose need for an alternative assignment arises later in the school year. Supervisors will not unreasonably deny working remotely for any employee whose work can be completed remotely.
Alternative Work Assignments. The Employer may, rather than reduce work hours or layoff, assign employees, excluding probationary employees, to work that they are qualified to perform in other departments in reverse order of seniority. The supervisor or designee of the receiving department will greet the assigned employee and review the assignment. The Employer shall keep the employee at their regular rate of pay, unless assigned to a higher paying job. The Employer may first seek volunteers before assigning alternative work to an employee. It is understood that employees assigned to another site within the bargaining unit shall work the hours scheduled for their home department, unless they mutually agree to a schedule change. The Employer may offer a temporary FTE reduction or a low need administrative leave of absence prior to effecting an hours reduction or layoff. Any employee who takes a low need administrative leave of absence shall be able to take such leave as VTO as in 25.1-d above.

  • Work Assignments Section 1. The Company shall determine whether to staff a position or fill a vacancy and the method or combination of methods it shall use for such purposes. In making this determination, the Company shall first give consideration to qualified laid off employees with applications on file in accordance with Article 14 Section 7 of this Agreement and then internal candidates prior to off-street applicants. All vacancies within the Bargaining Unit shall be posted (manually or electronically) in locations where Bargaining Unit employees regularly work. The posting shall include the title, wage range, and sufficient information regarding requirements and duties to adequately describe the vacancy. The vacancy shall remain posted for seven (7) calendar days which shall be spread between two (2) workweeks.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Training Assignments The Supervisor or designee may establish written training assignments to enable an employee to gain the additional experience and training required for the job for a period of time not to exceed two years. At the completion of the training assignment, the employee’s pay will be set no less than the entry rate of pay for the occupational pay band.

  • Shift Assignments When an opening occurs in a shift assignment in an appropriate work group at a location, preference shall be given to employees within the classification who possess the training, ability and any required special qualifications to perform the work required, on the basis of seniority. In the event that no employee desires a shift assignment, employees shall be selected in order of inverse seniority. This provision shall not apply to necessary training assignments. This provision shall not in itself alter the practice of rotating shifts where such practice presently exists. No employee who has a regular shift assignment on the effective date of the Agreement shall be involuntarily displaced from such shift assignment as a result of this Article.

  • SPECIAL TEACHING ASSIGNMENTS A. Assignments for the Adult Education, Driver Education and Summer School Program will be made by the Board on the basis of preference to teachers possessing permanent teaching certificates regularly employed in the district during the normal school year.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • SUBLET/ASSIGNMENT The Lessee may not transfer or assign this Lease, or any right or interest hereunder or sublet said leased Premises or any part thereof without first obtaining the prior written consent and approval of the Lessor.

  • Subcontracting; Assignment The Contractor may not subcontract any portion of the services provided under this Contract without obtaining the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer, nor may the Contractor assign this Contract or any of its rights or obligations hereunder, without the prior written approval of the Procurement Officer provided, however, that a contractor may assign monies receivable under a contract after due notice to the State. Any subcontracts shall include such language as may be required in various clauses contained within this Contract, exhibits, and attachments. The Contract shall not be assigned until all approvals, documents, and affidavits are completed and properly registered. The State shall not be responsible for fulfillment of the Contractor’s obligations to its subcontractors.
