Alternative Coverage. In the event that it may be possible to provide an alternative hospital/medical, life insurance or dental coverage providing comparable or superior benefits without additional cost to the City or the employees, the City may substitute or add alternate plans and or insurance carriers. The Union will be provided an opportunity to review and discuss with the City such proposed coverage prior to the implementation by the City.
Alternative Coverage. If made available by the Plan Administrator, a Qualified Beneficiary may elect between COBRA Continuation Coverage and the alternative coverage made available under the Plan. If, prior to the expiration of the Election Period, the Qualified Beneficiary elects COBRA Continuation Coverage in lieu of alternative coverage, his or her right to alternative coverage shall be forever waived and he or she shall not thereafter be entitled to elect the alternative coverage. If, prior to the expiration of the Election Period, the Qualified Beneficiary elects alternative coverage in lieu of COBRA Continuation Coverage, his or her right to COBRA Continuation Coverage shall be forever waived and he or she shall not thereafter be entitled to elect the COBRA Continuation Coverage.
Alternative Coverage. Any Employee eligible but not electing, or ineligible for health care benefits due to coverage elsewhere, may apply for an amount not to exceed $200 per month. Any Employee not electing or ineligible for dental care benefits due to coverage elsewhere may apply for an amount not to exceed $20 per month. If the IRS rules that such language adversely affects taxable personal income of employees, the Board will either (1) seek an alternate approved IRS transfer of benefits plan, or, if such is not possible, (2) renegotiate this provision.
Alternative Coverage. Any Employee eligible, but not electing, or ineligible, for health care benefits due to coverage elsewhere, may apply for and receive an amount as follows, based on the level of participation. Any Employee eligible for, but not electing, or ineligible for, dental care benefits as provided for above, may elect for an amount not to exceed $10 per month. If the IRS rules that such language adversely affects taxable personal income of employees, the Board will either ( 1) seek an alternate approved IRS transfer of benefits plan or, if such is not possible, ( 2) withdraw this provision.
Alternative Coverage. As an alternative to the obligations of Section 6.1 through 6.5 above, to the extent the School does not offer coverage to the Students. The Student individually shall provide coverage consistent with the terms herein.
Alternative Coverage. The City shall provide a stipend of $350, on a monthly basis, for those employees with alternative medical coverage who opt for the stipend in lieu of the medical insurance benefit.
Alternative Coverage. The Board retains the right to review alternative coverage and to implement such programs provided that the carrier is licensed to do business in the State of Michigan, that it provides equivalent or greater benefits and coverage, and is recognized and accepted by the Insurance Community.
Alternative Coverage. In the event that it may be possible to provide an alternative life insurance, dental coverage, or vision coverage as nearly comparable as possible to the benefits in effect on the date of this agreement without additional cost to the City or the employees, the City may substitute new insurance carriers. The Association will be given an opportunity to review the coverage afforded under such substitute plans before they are implemented.
Alternative Coverage. Notwithstanding anything herein contained to the contrary, no retiree medical benefit coverage shall be provided under the Retiree Medical Plan or this Agreement to the extent that the Executive is eligible to participate in another post-retirement health care benefit program of the Company.
