AGREEMENT AREA. The Agreement Area comprises the area of the Pacific Ocean bounded by the coastline of North, Central, and South America and by the following lines:

BY 31 AUGUST 1999 THE REQUIREMENTS HAD BEEN MET FOR THE AGREEMENT’S ENTRY INTO FORCE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH ARTICLE XIV, PARAGRAPH 1, THE AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO FORCE ON 1 NOVEMBER 1999. THE AFRICAN-EURASIAN WATERBIRD AGREEMENT, THE LARGEST AGREEMENT DEVELOPED SO FAR UNDER THE CONVENTION OF MIGRATORY SPECIES (CMS), CAME INTO FORCE AN 1 NOVEMBER 1999. SINCE THEN THE NUMBER OF CONTRACTING PARTIES IS GROWING STEADILY.
AGREEMENT AREA. 7. For the purposes of this Agreement, the Agreement Area for New South Wales is comprised of the 32 management areas listed in Schedule 2 as defined at the date of signature of this Agreement, and as modified by the boundaries of the four Deferred Forest Assessment Study Areas shown on the attached map (Schedule 3).
