ADVERTISE FOR BIDS. Upon receipt of written construction authorization from the Department, the Municipality may advertise the Project. The Municipality shall follow applicable Federal and/or State procedures pertaining to the advertisement of the Project, bid opening, and award of the contract, according to Title 2 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200 and Title 23 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 633 and Part 635, incorporated by reference at xxx.xxxx.xxx.xxx/xxxxxxxx/xxxxxxxxxx/xxxxxxx.xxx; and NCGS, Chapter 143, Article 8 (Public Contracts), incorporated by reference at xxx.xxxxx.xxx/xxxxxxxxx/Xxxxxxxx/Xxxxxxxx.xxx.

ADVERTISE FOR BIDS. Required advertisement dates, and bidding dates will be established. The Engineer will submit notification, on behalf of the Sponsor, to the local and selected publications for the upcoming project. Invitations for bids will be mailed to selected firms to assure local Contractors and material suppliers are aware of the pending project. Approximately 30 copies of the final plans and specifications will be printed for distribution to prospective Contractors.
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS. The Engineer will coordinate the project advertisement, on behalf of the Sponsor, with San Xxxx Record. Additionally, this task will include contacting and providing the Invitation for Bids to potential contractors and material suppliers to ensure local firms are aware of the project. Reimbursement for the project advertisement(s) will be requested from the Sponsor as a pass-through cost during invoicing.
