Additional Unpaid Leave. An employee may elect, with the consent of the employer, to take unpaid leave for the purpose of providing care to an immediate family member who is ill, injured or in order to assist with an unexpected emergency.

Additional Unpaid Leave. If an employee requires more than the time allowed for bereavement leave, they may request an unpaid personal leave of absence, or may use any accrued vacation, and/or compensatory time off, if available.

Additional Unpaid Leave. If an Employee wishes to take an additional period of unpaid leave, the Employee should apply to their Manager in writing requesting such leave and setting out the proposed start and end dates of the unpaid leave period.
