Additional Preconstruction Services. For additional Preconstruction Services that are approved in advance and in writing by TFC, CMR shall be entitled to additional compensation using one of the following methods of compensation: (i) a negotiated additional lump sum amount; (ii) or cost of CMR’s employees or consultants who actually perform the additional services based on the employees’ wage or salary rate, plus a fee established by TFC; or (iii) as otherwise agreed to by the parties in advance of performing the additional Preconstruction Services.

The Design-Builder shall conduct a Phase I archeological survey of the site in accordance with District of Columbia State Historic Preservation Officer’s (DC SHPO) standards and guidelines for archaeological survey current at the time of the investigation, in accordance with the standards of DC Historic Preservation Office, and present all findings in a report to DGS within thirty (30) days of the Preconstruction NTP. The Design-Builder must contact DC SHPO for guidelines. Section 3.2. Baseline Schedule and Construction Management Plan.
Additional Preconstruction Services. After execution of this Contract without invalidating the Contract, if required, Design Builder shall perform additional preconstruction services beyond the scope of the Preconstruction Services that are required by this Contract to be performed within the Fixed Price For Preconstruction Services (“Additional Preconstruction Services”). Design Builder may be compensated for the performance of Additional Preconstruction Services in addition to the Fixed Price For Preconstruction Services only by a Preconstruction Services Change Order signed by Princeton University and only if such Additional Preconstruction Services are required and/or performed through no fault of Design Builder or Design Professional or anyone for whom either of them are responsible and only upon strict compliance with and subject to the terms of this Part III paragraph (n) and its subparts, and other applicable terms of the Contract, including without limitation, Section H of the General Terms & Conditions (Part V of the Contract).

Additional Preconstruction Services. (1) From time to time City Engineer may request that Construction Manager perform services in addition to those Preconstruction Services required or reasonably inferable herein (“Additional Preconstruction Services”). Each time Construction Manager is requested to perform Preconstruction Services which Construction Manager believes to be Additional Preconstruction Services, and prior to performing such Additional Preconstruction Services, Construction Manager shall complete and forward to City Engineer for approval an Additional Services Requisition substantially in the form of Exhibit G attached hereto, which shall describe in detail the nature or scope of the Additional Preconstruction Services, the basis upon which Construction Manager has determined that the requested services are Additional Preconstruction Services, and which shall set forth the maximum amount of fees and reimbursable expenses for which Construction Manager is prepared to perform such Additional Preconstruction Services, together with a proposed schedule for the performances of such Additional Preconstruction Services. Construction Manager shall proceed only after written acceptance by City Engineer of the Additional Services Requisition and written approval from City Engineer to proceed. If Construction Manager fails to provide the Additional Services Requisition or if Construction Manager begins performing Additional Preconstruction Services prior to written approval from City Engineer, Construction Manager waives any claim for additional compensation based on its performance of the Additional Preconstruction Services.

The Contractor shall prepare and submit to the Department a full cost estimate of the current design no later than fifteen (15) days from execution of the Preconstruction NTP.

Related to Additional Preconstruction Services

  • Preconstruction Services At the Owner’s sole discretion and upon the Owner’s written direction, pursuant to a duly issued Work Order, the Construction Manager shall perform the Preconstruction Services. The Construction Manager shall coordinate the preparation of the Contract Documents by consulting with the Owner and the Architect regarding Drawings and Specifications as they are being prepared, and recommend alternate solutions whenever design details affect construction feasibility, cost or schedules, including without limitation, providing value engineering options. The Construction Manager shall promptly notify the Owner and Architect in writing of any apparent defects in the Contract Documents for any Project when it is discovered, as well as any apparent defects in the design documents for any Project, including without limitation, the Drawings and Specifications set forth in any Work Order affecting such Project.
