Additional Hours of Work. (a) A staff employee whose contract is less than 100% but is consistently offered and accepts additional hours for a period of four months, shall have the contract revised if the additional hours are likely to continue.
Additional Hours of Work. The University recognizes that the contributions of M&P staff may often take the form of hours worked outside of the standard work week. This contribution is recognized in the greater flexibility in working conditions and the accelerated pace of earning vacation time afforded to M&P staff relative to other staff groups, and is generally left to the best judgment of the employee in consultation with her/his supervisor. The University and AAPS acknowledge that M&P staff and their supervisors have an obligation to communicate in a timely way about required additional hours of work. Supervisors should strive to achieve a balance between employees’ additional hours of work and the recognition of their contributions. The University does not expect staff to perform significant additional hours of work on a regular basis without additional compensation, time off with pay or other offsetting arrangements. For greater clarity of the following provisions where M&P staff perform a significant number of additional hours of work on a cyclical or project basis then the person performing such work will be granted either additional compensation or time off with pay. In circumstances where an employee is required to work significant amounts of hours over and above the usual job requirements, additional compensation or other offsetting arrangements, including benefits, are appropriate. Operational requirements usually will dictate an appropriate solution. Examples of additional compensation or other offsetting arrangements, including benefits, are (but not limited to): Time off with pay; Three (3) days’ leave of absence with pay to be taken between Boxing Day and New Year’s Day; Honoraria; Additional professional development opportunities; or Providing financial assistance with memberships in professional organizations where such memberships are an asset but not required to perform the position.

Additional Hours of Work. The Superintendent of Highways may require an employee to work additional hours beyond the employee’s normal workday and workweek. An employee must receive prior approval from the Superintendent of Highways before working additional hours.
Additional Hours of Work. Additional hours of work shall be that extra work caused by trips, activity runs, and special routes. Unless re-assigned by the employer, drivers must complete both morning and afternoon routes on the day of the trip and must complete the scheduled afternoon run the day before a weekend or holiday trip to be eligible for additional hours of work that day. New drivers hired in accordance with Board policy shall be added to the various rotation lists at the end of their probation period in their proper seniority order based on the effective date of hire as approved by the Board of Education. Individuals who have accepted any additional hours of work (regular or substitute) will not be given an opportunity for work which conflicts with what has already been accepted.
Additional Hours of Work. (a) Any work done beyond 38 hours per week or more than an average of 38 hours per week is defined as Additional Hours.

(a) General Terms Additional hours of work shall be distributed as equally as possible among the Employees who normally perform the work in the position classification in which the additional work is needed. If all Employees in an equalizing group are offered additional hours and refuse, the Employer shall assign mandatory additional hours.
Additional Hours of Work. (a) Additional hours of work shall be distributed by seniority to Part Time Employees first. Part-time Employees who wish to be considered for additional hours of work shall indicate the extent of their availability to the Employer in writing. The distribution by seniority shall be on a rotational basis.
Additional Hours of Work. An employee must receive prior approval from the Chief of Police, or designee, before working additional hours.
Additional Hours of Work. (a) Regular Part-time Employees shall have first preference for the available work. Regular Part-time Employees working extra hours under this arrangement will not be entitled to overtime on these hours unless they qualify under the Overtime provisions in this Article 27. In no case will the Employer be obliged to use a Regular Part-time Employee such that doing so would create an overtime situation.
