Additional Floating Holidays. For employees who were required to remain in the workplace from March 17, 2020 – June 1, 2020, the City will provide 8 hours of floating holidays for every 40 hours of regularly scheduled hours worked in the workplace up to a maximum of 32 hours of floating holiday. The City will credit these floating holiday hours in the first full pay period after adoption of the MOU. The following classifications which, due to the nature of the assignment, require backfill, employees will be paid a stipend in the amount of the earned floating holiday hours up to a maximum of 32 hours the first full pay period in August 2020: Solid Waste Drivers, Solid Waste Workers, Long Haul Drivers, Community Services Officer, Public Safety Dispatchers I/II, and Supervising Public Safety Dispatchers. City will use a specific pay code for these additional floating holiday hours that will be available until June 30, 2021. These additional 32 hours of floating holiday shall have no cash value and may not be used towards CalPERS retirement service credit as outlined in section 47.8.5 of the CSU MOU.

Additional Floating Holidays. 3. Employees are entitled to five additional days of floating holiday per calendar year.
Additional Floating Holidays. All seventeen holidays are days that the schools are closed to the students and instructional staff. In the event that an in-service day is scheduled for any of the above days when schools are closed to the students, the Administrator will be given an additional floating holiday. Administrators shall be required to take their vacation days during the summer, or on days within the school year that the schools are closed to students and the instructional staff, unless otherwise approved by the Superintendent. Administrators shall not take vacation days during the final two weeks of August. Administrators may not carry over more than five (5) vacation days into the next school year. In the event that earned vacation days in excess of the five (5) allowable carry-over days cannot be taken prior to June 30th, because the Superintendent denied the request(s) for vacation time due to school responsibilities, then the administrator will be given compensatory days during the next contractual year at a mutually agreeable time. If the administrator’s retirement, resignation or death prevents use of the compensatory days, then the days will be added to his/her accumulated vacation day total, which may exceed the maximum days allotted. All scheduling of vacation time is subject to the prior approval of the Superintendent.

  • Floating Holidays In addition to the authorized days in 9.2. each employee, including each academic employee, shall be authorized two (2) floating holidays of his/her choice per fiscal year.

  • Floating Holiday All employees except intermittent, emergency, and temporary employees shall also receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement. However, seasonal employees shall be eligible for only one (1) floating holiday per season and intermittent employees shall receive one (1) floating holiday each fiscal year of this Agreement if they complete ninety-one (91) working days in that fiscal year. Unless waived by the supervisor, the employee must request the floating holiday at least fourteen (14) calendar days in advance. The Appointing Authority may limit the number of employees that may be absent on any given day subject to the operational needs of the Appointing Authority. Any conflicts for requested holidays shall be resolved on the basis of State Seniority within the employee's work unit. The Appointing Authority shall make a reasonable effort to approve the requested holiday. Floating holidays may not be accumulated. An employee who has not requested the floating holiday by March 1 of each fiscal year or by thirty (30) calendar days prior to the end of an employee's season shall be scheduled to take a floating holiday on a day chosen by the Appointing Authority or be paid for the floating holiday in cash at the option of the Appointing Authority.

  • Additional Holidays Every day declared by the President, or the Governor of this State, as a public fast, mourning, thanksgiving, or holiday, or any day declared by the Governing Board under Education Code Section 45203 shall be a paid holiday for all employees in the bargaining unit.

  • Special Holidays A Special Holiday is a holiday declared a holiday by the University for its employees other than a Saturday, Sunday, General (Statutory) Holiday or day declared by the University to be in lieu of a Statutory Holiday.   • Substitute Holidays The Appointing Authority may, after consultation with the Association, designate alternate days for the observance of Veterans Day and Presidents' Day.

  • Premium Holidays If the employer receives a premium holiday(s), the employees shall not be required to pay their portion of the premium(s) for the holiday month(s).

  • DESIGNATED PAID HOLIDAYS 11.01 Subject to clause 11.02, the following days shall be designated paid holidays for employees:
