JOB PURPOSE To provide administrative support to the Department for the achievement of the objectives of the Ghana Education Service Council.
Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year.
Professional Development Allowance 55.1 The CEO may, subject to this clause, approve the reimbursement or payment of financial assistance to a Science and Engineering Professional employee to offset professional development costs.
VISIBILITY OF FUNDING FROM THE OFFICIAL DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE Unless the SAIDC requests or agrees otherwise, any communication or publication made by the Final Beneficiary that relates to the action, including at conferences, seminars or in any information or promotional materials (such as brochures, leaflets, posters, presentations in electronic form, etc.), including tangible assets acquired from the project must: (a) indicate that the action has received funding from the Official Development Assistance, SlovakAid and (b) display the SlovakAid logo. When displayed in association with another logo, the SlovakAid logo must have appropriate prominence. The obligation to display the SlovakAid logo does not confer on the Final Beneficiary a right of exclusive use. The Final Beneficiary may not appropriate the SlovakAid logo or any similar trademark or logo, either by registration or by any other means. For the purposes of the first, second and third subparagraphs and under the conditions specified therein, the Final Beneficiary may use the SlovakAid logo without first obtaining permission from the SAIDC.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The Board agrees to implement the following:
Professional Development Fund A budget item equal to one-half (½) of one (1) percent of employees' salaries shall be set aside annually to be used to:
Professional Development Reimbursement Management will provide reimbursement for approved professional development expenses for Lieutenants and Sergeants. Funds may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing Lieutenants and Sergeants for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities. Management must approve of the specific professional development request in advance. Denial will require written notification to the requesting Lieutenant or Sergeant.
DEVELOPMENT OR ASSISTANCE IN DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS/ STATEMENTS OF WORK Firms and/or individuals that assisted in the development or drafting of the specifications, requirements, statements of work, or solicitation documents contained herein are excluded from competing for this solicitation. This shall not be applicable to firms and/or individuals providing responses to a publicly posted Request for Information (RFI) associated with a solicitation.
Public Purpose This IGA and the services contemplated herein are for the public welfare and benefit and are undertaken in accordance with the laws and Constitution of the State of Georgia. Without limiting the foregoing, the parties specifically and expressly warrant and represent, and do hereby find, that this IGA (i) pertains to the provision of services and activities which the Parties are by law authorized to undertake and provide; (ii) is otherwise authorized under the Intergovernmental Contracts Clause of the Georgia Constitution of 1983, Art. Education and Specialized Knowledge Preferably secondary school graduation; a good working knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act and Regulations; a good knowledge of safety rules and regulations as they pertain to the driving and/or operation of the vehicles, equipment and machinery involved; preferably graduation from a defensive driving course and/or a recognized training program in the driving and operation of commercial type vehicle or heavy equipment.
