Common use of Acting Pay Clause in Contracts

Acting Pay. When an employee is required by the Employer to substantially perform the duties of a higher classification level on an acting basis for the required number of three (3) consecutive working days, such employee shall be paid acting pay calculated from the date on which he commenced to act as if such employee had been appointed to that higher classification level for the period in which such employee acts. When a day designated as a paid holiday occurs during the qualifying period, the holiday shall be considered as a day worked for the purpose of the qualifying period.

Acting Pay. Acting Pay. (a) When an employee is required by the Employer to substantially perform the duties of a position having a higher classification level on an acting basis maximum rate of pay than the one held by him for the required number a period of three at least one (31) consecutive complete working daysday, such employee he shall be paid acting pay calculated from the date on which he commenced to act act, as if such employee he had been appointed promoted to that higher classification level paid position for the period in which such employee he acts. When a day designated as a paid holiday occurs during after the qualifying perioddate the employee has commenced to act or prior to his ceasing to act, the holiday shall be considered as a day worked for the purpose purposes of the qualifying period.the
