Acting Incumbency. 11.01 To be eligible for acting incumbency pay, an Employee shall be required to perform the principal duties of the higher level position for a minimum period of five (5) consecutive work days, during which time the Employee may also be required to perform some of the duties of the Employee's regular position. On completion of the minimum five (5) day qualifying period in an acting incumbency position, an Employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of acting incumbency, including the five (5) day qualifying period. Acting provisions shall not apply where an Employee is designated only additional limited duties.

Acting Incumbency. To be eligible for acting incumbency pay, an employee shall be required to perform a majority of the principal duties of a position in a higher paid classification for a minimum period of not less than 5 consecutive work days. During this time the employee may also be required to perform some, but not all, of the duties of their regular position. On completion of the minimum 5 day qualifying period in an 'acting' position, an employee shall be eligible for acting incumbency pay for the total period of the acting incumbency, including the 5 day qualifying period. Once an employee qualifies in an 'acting' capacity, they shall receive acting incumbency pay of 5% if acting for an employee in the bargaining unit, or the base rate of the higher level position, whichever is greater. Where an employee is required to replace 2 or more employees in sequence, the 'acting' periods shall be deemed to be one. Prior to the commencement of the higher duties being assigned, the employee will be advised of the following: start date, position title, work week definition for the position, hourly wage or monthly salary whichever is applicable, and a copy of the job description of the position to be filled. Other forms of stipend may be paid by the Employer with the agreement of the Union.
Acting Incumbency. 28.01 Where an Employee is authorized by management of the Employer to delegate his or her responsibilities to another Employee, that Employee who is delegated the responsibilities of an Employee in a higher paid classification within this Collective Agreement, for a period of one (1) day or more, shall be paid at the level of the higher classification in which the Employee is relieving, provided that the Employee is qualified to perform the responsibilities of the higher paid classification. When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, they shall suffer no reduction in pay and their pay shall remain unchanged.
Acting Incumbency. 31.01 An Employee assigned temporarily to a higher position for more than three (3) consecutive working days will receive the higher rate of pay for all hours worked at the higher rated position.

Acting Incumbency. 29.01 Where an Employee is designated by the Employer to temporarily perform the majority of the duties of a higher paid classification covered by this Collective Agreement, after two (2) days of continuously performing such duties, the Employee shall be paid the rate of that classification for the total period of acting incumbency. The Employee shall be paid at the higher classification at a step that provides an increase of at least three point five percent (3.5%). The foregoing does not apply when the Employee is training in the higher paid classification.
Acting Incumbency. 10.01 Where an Employee is designated, by the Employer to perform the prime functions of a different position in a different classification with a higher rate of pay ("higher level classification") for at least 1 (one) working day and such designation is approved in writing by the Chief Administrative Officer or other authorized designate of the Employer, the Employee shall receive acting incumbency pay. The Employee may be required to perform some duties of the Employee's regular position/classification position when appointed acting in a higher level classification. Training in a higher level classification is not acting incumbency. Acting incumbency pay is not payable when training occurs in a higher level classification and the Employee is paid the rate of pay for the Employee's regular position/classification. When an Employee is required to temporarily perform the duties of a lower paid classification, they shall suffer no reduction in pay and their pay shall remain unchanged.
