Common use of Accumulation of Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Accumulation of Sick Leave. Sick leave may be accumulated up to nine hundred sixty (960) hours for permanent employees. Upon termination or retirement following five (5) continuous years of active employment in a permanent position with the Port, qualified employees shall be compensated for fifty percent (50%) of their unused sick leave (within the 960-hour limit) at the rate of pay at termination.
