Accumulating Seniority and Service. 14.2.1 Leaves of Absence Seniority and service shall accumulate for all purposes under the Collective Agreement for a period of up to, but not to exceed, six (6) calendar months during the term of this Agreement during any leave (s) of absence granted, with or without pay, pursuant to the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Transfer of Seniority and Service For application of seniority for purposes of promotion, demotion, transfer, layoff and recall and service (including meeting any waiting period or other entitlement requirements) for purposes of vacation entitlement, HOODIP or equivalent, health and welfare benefit plans, and wage progression:

  • Seniority Accumulation (a) (i) Part-time employees shall have their seniority expressed on the basis of number of hours worked in the bargaining unit. (The foregoing is for clarity only and therefore does not modify an employee’s level of seniority under this collective agreement or previous collective agreements.)

  • Unpaid Leave - Affecting Seniority and Benefits ‌ Any employee granted unpaid leave of absence totalling up to twenty (20) working days in any year shall continue to accumulate seniority and all benefits and shall return to her/his former job and increment step. If an unpaid leave of absence or an accumulation of unpaid leaves of absence exceeds twenty (20) working days in any year, the employee shall not accumulate benefits from the twenty-first (21st) day of the unpaid leave to the last day of the unpaid leave but shall accumulate benefits and receive credit for previously earned benefits upon expiration of the unpaid leave.
