Accrued Leaves. While on leave, employees do not accrue vacation, sick, or other paid leave time, and their performance evaluation dates may be adjusted, to the same extent as other unpaid leaves, as provided in the Leave of Absence Without Pay, in Section 12.14 of MOU.

Accrued Leaves. Part-time Members Part-time bargaining unit members working twenty (20) hours a week or more shall be entitled to vacation, sick, and management time off on a pro- rata basis. That is, members working twenty-five (25) hours per week would accrue leaves at the rate of 62.5% of a full-time employee. Members working thirty (30) hours per week would accrue leaves at 75% of the rate of full-time employees, etc.
Accrued Leaves. A. At the option of the Transferring Employee, which must be made on or before November 8, 2019 ("Election Date"), the Transferring Employee may elect to transfer any accrued and unused sick leave and may retain accrued vacation leave up to a maximum of eighty (80) hours. Between the Election Date above and the Date of Transfer, any vacation leave hours or sick leave hours used by a Transferring Employee will result in a reduction of the transferred balance by an equivalent number of hours. During that period between the Election Date and the Date of Transfer, an employee will not be permitted to exceed the number of accrued and unused vacation leave hours and/or accrued and unused sick leave hours; in such a circumstance, the employee will be in a leave without pay status for any vacation leave hours and/or sick leave hours that go beyond the accrued amount.

  • Disability Leave of Absence Section 37.1 Leave Without Pay A member incurring any disability not duty-connected after he has exhausted all of the paid leave to which he is entitled and has accumulated, may be granted a leave without pay for a period not to exceed three (3) months, subject to approval and to the following provisions:

  • Sick Leave Bonus For every six (6) months of perfect sick leave attendance after July 1, 1987, the employee will receive eight (8) hours of bonus time. This bonus time will be prorated for part-time employees. Such bonus time can be used for any leave purpose covered by this Agreement. Such bonus time shall be counted as vacation leave credits for purposes of determining eligibility for carry- over and cash payments.

  • Sick Leave Payment Any employee, at his/her option may choose to receive payment for sick leave earned during the year which is unused at the end of the year. Any such payment must be for the total number of unused sick leave hours earned during the year, must be based on the hourly rate of pay of the employee multiplied by 50 percent, and all hours for which payment is received must be deducted from the employee’s accumulated leave balance. Sick leave used during a current year will be charged against the most recently earned sick leave. Hourly rate of pay is the hourly rate at the end of the contract year.

  • Illness Leave A. Illness is defined as any pronounced deviation from a normal health state which makes it disadvantageous to the District and/or detrimental to the employee for him/her to be at work. This definition shall include emergency medical, dental, optical, and prosthetic work.
