Accrual of Benefits. An employee may accrue benefits for thirty (30) days during a leave of absence.
Accrual of Benefits. Each permanent, full-time employee injured while in the performance of his duties as a police officer for the City of Pueblo inside or outside the City limits shall be paid injury leave in a sum equal to the employee's full salary for the period of disability not to exceed one calendar year from the date of injury, except that an employee who undergoes surgery for such a duty injury shall be entitled to a total of one year of such paid injury leave, during a period ending two years from the date of injury, whenever he may be disabled and unable to work as a result of such duty injury. Even though the period of time during such an employee who undergoes surgery for a duty related injury is two calendar years from the date of such duty injury, the total amount of said injury leave to which an employee is entitled is a sum equal to one year of such employee’s full salary. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no officer shall be eligible for such injury leave if it is determined by the Chief that the injury was caused, at least in part, by the injured officer's engagement in a "frolic," or the injury was caused by the injured officer's willful failure to observe reasonable standards of safety for police officers. Injury leave benefits as set forth herein are maximum benefits for each injury. Employees on injury leave shall be granted all employees' benefits the same as if they were in active service of the City.
Accrual of Benefits. Eligible employees out on disability leave who use accrued vacation or sick leave benefits shall accrue benefit time on a pro-rata basis.
Accrual of Benefits. An officer or employee who is entitled to temporary disability Indemnity under Division 4 or Division 4.5 of the Labor Code, shall retain the employee’s other employment status and continue to accrue benefits while receiving temporary disability indemnity.
Accrual of Benefits. A Union leave of absence will not affect previously accumulated benefits. However, Employees taking this type of leave will not accrue benefits while on unpaid leave.
Accrual of Benefits. There shall be no accrual of benefits during unauthorized leave, suspension, or leave without pay.
Accrual of Benefits. No benefits, including seniority, vacation, and longevity, shall accrue during unpaid non-FMLA leaves.
Accrual of Benefits. An Employee shall not forfeit any accrued benefits, nor shall an Employee accrue any benefits during unpaid leaves of absence of more than thirty (30) days due to illness, injury, disability, or authorized education leave nor during any other unpaid leave of absence.
Accrual of Benefits. Any employee absent for more than one year shall not accrue any benefits provided for under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Accrual of Benefits. A priest accrues the benefit at the rate of 3.3% of the defined annual benefit per year of service (including years of service as a transitional deacon). A priest serving in a ministry within or outside of the Diocese that is not immediately governed by the Xxxxxx of Spokane (e.g. hospital or military chaplaincy, a position at Gonzaga University or in a seminary outside the diocese) may accrue benefit in the Retirement Program through contributing 15 percent of his base salary to the Priests’ Retirement Fund. According to circumstances, the Xxxxxx may negotiate a specified amount to be paid by the employing entity to the Retirement Fund; or in some instances such as missionary service or a program of studies assigned by the Xxxxxx, the contribution may be waived without loss of accrual of benefit.
