ACCIDENTS - PAY TO EMPLOYEES. Employees involved in an accident while on the job shall receive eight (8) hours' pay at his classified rate for the day of the accident. If an employee is required to take time off while on the job to consult a doctor with regard to any compensable injury he has received on the job, he shall be paid for such time off provided a doctor's letter or note is supplied and he returns to complete the day's work, if practicable.

ACCIDENTS - PAY TO EMPLOYEES. Employees involved in an accident while on the job shall receive their regular shifts pay at their classified rate for the day of the accident. If an employee is required to take time off while on the job to consult a doctor with regard to any compensable injury he has received on the job, he shall be paid for such time off. If requested, he shall provide a doctor's letter or note and he shall return to complete the day's work if practicable. Doctor’s fees for getting the above mentioned doctor’s note shall be covered by the company.
ACCIDENTS - PAY TO EMPLOYEES. An employee who is injured while at work and is required to leave for treatment or is sent home as a result of such injury shall receive payment at their classified rate for the duration of their shift for the day of the injury. The Company shall bear the cost of any necessary transportation.

  • Access to Employees Staff representatives of the Union shall be allowed to visit work areas of employees during working hours and confer on conditions of employment to the extent that such visitations do not disrupt the work activities of the area being visited. Prior to entering the work area, the representative shall receive permission from the appropriate department head or his/her designee stating the reason(s) for such visitations. Permission shall not be unreasonably denied.

  • Notification to Employees ‌ The Employer will inform new, transferred, promoted, or demoted employees in writing prior to appointment into positions included in the bargaining unit(s) of the Union’s exclusive representation status. Upon appointment to a bargaining unit position, the Employer will furnish the employees with membership materials provided by the Union. The Employer will inform employees in writing if they are subsequently appointed to a position that is not in a bargaining unit.

  • INFORMATION TO EMPLOYEES In the initial correspondence with an individual regarding potential employment in the bargaining unit, the appropriate department shall include a one-page statement about the Union, prepared by the Union at its own expense, provided that the statement is first forwarded to the Executive Director, Human Resources and is not determined to be factually incorrect or inflammatory. If the Executive Director, Human Resources does not forward any suggested changes within two weeks of receiving the statement, the information shall be presumed to be acceptable.

  • Notice to Employees Contractor must give notice in writing to its employees who perform work on this Contract, either at the time of hire or before commencement of work on this Contract, or by posting a notice in a location frequented by employees, of the number of hours per day and days per week that the employees may be required to work.

  • Safety, breakdowns and accidents 17.5.1 The Concessionaire shall ensure safe conditions for the Users and passengers, and in the event of unsafe conditions, it shall follow the relevant operating procedures and undertake removal of obstruction and debris without delay.   • Ten Month Employees Employees appointed on a regular 10-month basis (those employed for the standard academic year beginning September 1 to June 30) generally receive benefits on a pro rata basis except for holiday pay which will be granted for those holidays that fall during the academic year only.

  • Day Employees If a day employee is scheduled to work more than nine and one-half (9 ½) continuous hours, the Company will provide a meal if requested. A second meal, if requested, will be provided if the employee works more than thirteen and one- half (13 ½) continuous hours. A lunch period of one-half (1/2) hour without pay will be allowed. Meals will be provided if an employee is called into work on such short notice that the employee is unable to provide their own meal. For the purpose of this Article, lunch periods shall not be considered to interrupt continuous hours.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Month Employees TEN (10) MONTH EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE COMPLETED ONE (1) YEAR OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE AND WHO HAVE ACCUMULATED TWENTY (20) DAYS OF SICK LEAVE WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENROLLED IN THE USLB.
