Pregnant employees may request to be transferred from their current duties if, in the professional opinion of the physician, the pregnancy may be at risk. If such a transfer is not feasible, the pregnant employ&e, if she so requests, will be granted an unpaid leave of absence before commence- ment of the current contractual maternity leave. If an employee takes the holiday mentioned above in any year prior to the premises date on which a new public holiday is declared, he shall not be entitled to another holiday for that year, but shall be deemed to have already taken a day in lieu of the Hospital for new public holidays. For the purpose of attending grievance meetings or otherwise assisting determining entitlement to holiday pay, the shifts to be included in a holiday shall be those three shifts which actually commence on the administration of this Agreement, provided prior arrangements are made with the Administrator. The Union agrees to appoint one regular member and one alternate member in order to ensure continuous representation on this committee at all times. Such Committee shall identify potential dangers and . hazards, institute means of improving health and safety programs and recommend actions to be taken to improve conditions related to safety and health. The Hospital' Hospital agrees to cooperate co-operate reasonably in providing necessary information to enable the Committee to its functions. In addition, the Hospital will provide the Committee with reasonable access to all accident reports, health and safety records and other pertinent information in its possession. Meetings shall be held every second month or more frequently at the call of the Chair, Chair if required. The Committee shall maintain minutes of all meetings and make the same available for review. Any representative appointed or selected in accordance with hereof, hereof shall serve for a term of at least one calendar year from the date of appointmentappointment which may be renewed for further periods of one year. Pregnant employees may request to be transferred from their current duties if, in the professional opinion of the employee's physician, the pregnancy may be at risk.
