Accident at Work. Sickness or disability resulting from an accident at work shall not constitute a ground for the discharge of any employee, provided that in the opinion of a qualified Medical Doctor it is possible for such employee, upon recovery, to carry on his/her duties in the fire service of the City, and subject to the opinion of the said Medical Doctor, such employee shall continue in the position held prior to such sickness or accident.

Accident at Work to the employee who suffered an accident at work, for one (1) year, as of the cessation of the accident-related sick pay. This guarantee will not be in effect in cases of contract termination for just cause.
Accident at Work. Employees involved in an accident while on the job shall receive eight (8) hours' pay for the day of the accident. If an employee is required to take time off while on the job to consult a doctor with regard to any compensable injury he has received on the job, he shall be paid for such time off.

  • Injury at Work Any employee who may be injured during the course of his day's employment shall be paid a minimum of eight (8) hours pay for that day, if such injury requires the employee to leave the job for medical treatment by a professional medical care provider.

  • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave shall be granted for illness or injury incurred within the course and scope of an employee's assigned duties. The employee who has sustained a job-related injury shall report the injury on an Office approved accident form to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours. An employee shall report any illness, in writing, to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge that the illness is an alleged industrial illness. Requirements for such leave shall be:

  • Accident INVESTIGATIONS Whenever an accident occurs involving the equipment or personnel of a Supporting Party, the Protecting Party shall take immediate steps to notify the Supporting Party that an accident has occurred. As soon as practical, the Protecting Party shall initiate an investigation of the accident. A team made up of appropriate representatives from all affected agencies shall conduct the investigation. Costs for investigation personnel are Party-specific and will be borne by the sending Party. Other accident or incident investigation costs are the fiscal responsibility of the Party (ies) that has jurisdiction and/or investigative responsibility. The sharing of information between Parties on accident investigations and their findings and probable causes is a valuable tool for safety and must be encouraged.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall be reduced by one (1) day for each day of authorized absence regardless of a temporary disability indemnity award.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Evacuation (1) If the Combatant Commander orders a mandatory evacuation of some or all personnel, the Government will provide assistance, to the extent available, to United States and third country national contractor personnel.

  • Mechanical Breakdowns 15.1 Any mechanical problems associated with the Vehicle must be reported to Apollo as soon as possible in order to give Apollo the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental period. Equipment failure must also be reported to Apollo.

  • Post-Accident Testing a. The City may require a Covered Employee who caused, or may have caused, an Accident, based on information known at the time of the Accident, to submit to drug and/or alcohol testing.

  • Overtime Work A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one- half (1½) times the basic hourly straight-time rate.

  • ACCIDENT PAY The company shall pay accident pay as defined in the award, during the incapacity of their employee/s arising from any one injury, for a total of fifty-two (52) weeks - irrespective of whether such incapacity is in one continuous period or not.
