Access and Inclusion Strategy. Edinburgh College has a vital role to play, both in society and the economy, in terms of widening access to enhance social mobility and reduce unemployment, improving employability, increasing work-integrated learning opportunities and entrepreneurial skills, up-skilling the workforce and engaging with universities and industry to provide the best possible opportunities for employment or further study. There is a firm commitment to access and inclusion for all students: the new Access and Inclusion Strategy is informed by, and supports, the Regional Outcome Agreement, the Equality Report and the College’s Strategic Plan. Publication of the Equality Impact Assessments agenda provides a clear focus for informing key strategic decisions. The College will continue to collaborate with community partners to ensure sufficient provision is made available to those in our region most at risk of not achieving a positive outcome. In session 2017/18, Price Group 5 (previously DPG 18) comprised 5.5% of all core activity. We will strive to widen access and increase participation from the most deprived areas in our region and we will continue to enhance social mobility by engaging with our most ‘hard to reach’ communities, broadening the offering of ACE courses for PG5 students and strengthening links with special education needs schools. We want to ensure that all students feel respected and have equality of opportunity in terms of achieving their aspirational goals. Our primary aim is to support all students in successfully completing their programmes of study and equip them with the knowledge and skills required for progression into employment or further study. We believe that access and inclusion for all students helps to tackle the economic and social challenges in our communities and encourage and enable all of our students to ultimately become independent citizens. The Access & Inclusion Strategy covers all protected characteristics, those from areas of multiple deprivation, care experienced and carers. Our priorities over the period of the plan are focused on age, gender, deprivation, care experienced, sensory disability, mental health and student carers. We have made progress against the Strategy, which we monitor on an ongoing basis and update annually.

  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion The Supplier shall ensure that it does not, whether as an employer or provider of services and/or goods, discriminate within the meaning of the Equality Legislation. The Supplier shall comply with any equality or diversity policies or guidelines included in the British Council Requirements.

  • Background included 9.1.1 In Attachment 1, the Parties have identified and agreed on the Background for the Project and have also, where relevant, informed each other that Access to specific Background is subject to legal restrictions or limits. Anything not identified in Attachment 1 shall not be the object of Access Right obligations regarding Background.

  • Background Screening VENDOR shall comply with all requirements of Sections 1012.32 and 1012.465, Florida Statutes, and all of its personnel who (1) are to be permitted access to school grounds when students are present, (2) will have direct contact with students, or (3) have access or control of school funds, will successfully complete the background screening required by the referenced statutes and meet the standards established by the statutes. This background screening will be conducted by SBBC in advance of VENDOR or its personnel providing any services under the conditions described in the previous sentence. VENDOR shall bear the cost of acquiring the background screening required by Section 1012.32, Florida Statutes, and any fee imposed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to maintain the fingerprints provided with respect to VENDOR and its personnel. The parties agree that the failure of VENDOR to perform any of the duties described in this section shall constitute a material breach of this Agreement entitling SBBC to terminate immediately with no further responsibilities or duties to perform under this Agreement. VENDOR agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SBBC, its officers and employees from any liability in the form of physical or mental injury, death or property damage resulting from VENDOR’s failure to comply with the requirements of this section or with Sections 1012.32 and 1012.465, Florida Statutes.

  • Selection Planning Prior to the issuance to consultants of any requests for proposals, the proposed plan for the selection of consultants under the Project shall be furnished to the Association for its review and approval, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 1 of Appendix 1 to the Consultant Guidelines. Selection of all consultants’ services shall be undertaken in accordance with such selection plan as shall have been approved by the Association, and with the provisions of said paragraph 1.

  • Representative Access (A) The state agrees that designated Union Representatives shall have access to state controlled premises where employees are employed.

  • INFORMATION AND CONSULTATION 8.1 You are entitled, under the Data Protection Xxx 0000 to inspect personal information held on you in our housing files. We will provide photocopies of this information on request. We may make a charge of up to £10 for this. We will provide you with a copy of any such information we hold within forty days of your request in writing. You may have other rights under that Act in relation to your personal data, which we will honour.   • Dissemination of Research Findings and Acknowledgement of Controlled-Access Datasets Subject to the NIH GDS Policy It is NIH’s intent to promote the dissemination of research findings from use of controlled-access dataset(s) subject to the NIH GDS Policy as widely as possible through scientific publication or other appropriate public dissemination mechanisms. Approved Users are strongly encouraged to publish their results in peer-reviewed journals and to present research findings at scientific meetings.

  • AREAS OF COLLABORATION The School will collaborate under Xxxx Innovation Mission to establish, operate and support ATL in India within the school premises with financial support from NITI Aayog.

  • Background Investigations OSC policy requires that background investigations be conducted on Contractor Staff who will have access to OSC’s IT systems, access to OSC confidential information/data, or routine access to any OSC facility. For purposes of this policy, “routine access” is defined as access to an OSC facility for five consecutive business days or 10 business days over the annual term of the engagement. Accordingly, with the signing of this Agreement, the Contractor certifies that it has or will conduct a background investigation on Staff to whom the policy applies within the 12 months prior to the Staff commencing Services under this Agreement. The Contractor agrees to undertake a background investigation of any new/replacement Staff during the term of the Agreement. At a minimum, background investigations shall include a review/evaluation of the following: • identity verification, including Social Security Number search; • employment eligibility, including verification of U.S. citizenship or legal immigration status where appropriate; • criminal history/court records (Federal, State and local for the past five years); • work experience/history for the past five years; • pertinent skills, qualifications, and education/professional credentials; and • references. The Contractor must obtain the consent of its Staff to allow OSC, upon request: (i) to review the background investigation records, including all supporting documentation, and (ii) to conduct its own background investigation. Only Staff who have passed the background investigation, and provided such consent shall be assigned to provide Services to OSC under this Agreement. During the term of the Agreement, and in accordance with Appendix A (Section 10, Records), the Contractor must maintain records related to the background investigations performed.

  • BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION The BOARD is prohibited from knowingly employing a person who has been convicted of committing or attempting to commit certain criminal offenses. If the required criminal background investigation is not completed at the time this Contract is signed, and the subsequent investigation report reveals that there has been a prohibited conviction, this Contract shall immediately become null and void.
