Academic Year Appointments. The academic year appointment period for developmental research school employees consists of a fall and spring semester not exceeding 194 days within approximately 42 contiguous weeks. In scheduling these days, the XXXX shall consider the calendar of the local districts and such scheduling shall be subject to consultation under Article 2.
Academic Year Appointments. Appointment for the academic year requires that the appointee be in attendance at the University from September 1 to Commencement, or an equivalent period, within each academic year unless excused by the appropriate academic officer.
Academic Year Appointments. For the continuity of benefits and retirement credit, annual appointees shall be paid 10/12; however, when appointed for less than a full year, appointees shall be paid monthly in accordance with Article 6. B. of the Agreement.

The usual and customary instructional workload will be twenty-four (24) adjusted credit hours per academic year contract except as may otherwise be required by appropriate College accrediting bodies or applicable state regulations. For example, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education or the Nebraska Department of Education may provide different overload threshholds for education faculty. Any instructional credit hours above twenty-five (25) will receive overload compensation per Section 10.6. Instructional loads with fewer than twenty-three (23) credit hours will be assigned additional duties. The balance of the thirty (30) credit hour workload will be credited to scholarly and service activities.

Online instructional credit hours are identified through an academic planning process developed at each College. Faculty may be assigned online instructional credit hours at any institution in the Nebraska State College System as part of the faculty member’s regular academic year workload and/or for overload hours.
Academic Year Appointments a. All Instructors with declared interest and eligibility for appointment during the subsequent academic year shall be placed on the primary roster, on the secondary roster, or in the employment pool. The rosters and the pool shall be created in a manner described below.

Academic Year Appointments. No later than May 2020 the University will implement a model that will allow for some Adjunct Faculty members to be offered personal services agreements in the subsequent Academic Year that include up to two courses in the Fall semester and up to two courses in the Spring semester. During the 2020-2021 Academic Year, there will be a minimum of 12 such Academic Year appointments offered to Adjunct Faculty, but more can be offered in the sound discretion of the Xxxxxxx. For purposes of clarification, the 12 Academic Year appointments may include no fewer than 24 courses (e.g., 12 fall and 12 spring) but could include as many as 48 courses (e.g., 24 fall and 24 spring). During the 2021-2022 Academic Year, there will be a minimum of 15 such Academic Year appointments offered to Adjunct Faculty, but more can be offered in the sound discretion of the Xxxxxxx. For purposes of clarification, the 15 Academic Year appointments may include no fewer than 30 courses (e.g., 15 fall and 15 spring) but could include as many as 60 courses (e.g., 30 fall and 30 spring).
