Academic Unit Assignment. Academic staff members are assigned to departments. Such assignments shall not determine the assigned duties of an academic staff member. Interdisciplinary appointments may be made, but shall indicate the primary department to which the academic staff member is considered to be assigned. Such assignment shall determine the unit to which the member belongs for actions arising pursuant to Articles 7 and 28.

Academic Unit Assignment. Academic staff members are assigned to Faculties (and, where appropriate, to departments or equivalent units). Interdisciplinary appointments may be made and letters of appointment shall indicate the primary academic unit to which a member is assigned. This shall determine the unit to which the member belongs for the purpose of performance review and for actions arising pursuant to Article 25. With the prior written concurrence of the member, duties may be assigned outside of the academic unit to which the individual member is assigned. Any assignments that cross academic units shall be stated in writing, with a copy to the Faculty Association, before they are to take effect.

Academic Unit Assignment. For purposes of appointment, reappointment, promotion, and grievance, all members of the bargaining unit will be assigned to an academic unit. The Learning Resource Center (Library/Media Center) and Counseling Center (Student Support Center) are considered "Academic Units" of the College within the meaning of this section.

  • Shift Assignment Should the University elect to establish a shift on any other schedule than the regular day shift (Monday through Friday) or to assign employees to work on any such shift, the employee(s) with the most seniority in the classification affected or to be assigned on such shift shall have preference in moving to such shift. If an insufficient number of employees in the classification elect to move to such shift, then the employee(s) with the least seniority in the classification shall be assigned to such shift. If positions or shifts are reduced or eliminated or movement of personnel to other shifts is required, then the seniority of the affected employee will prevail in the selection of shift, provided the affected employee can do the required work. Such shift preference is only applicable within the employee's classification.

  • Transfer/Assignment (A) Subject to compliance with clause (B) of this Section 8, this Warrant and all rights hereunder are transferable, in whole or in part, upon the books of the Company by the registered holder hereof in person or by duly authorized attorney, and a new warrant shall be made and delivered by the Company, of the same tenor and date as this Warrant but registered in the name of one or more transferees, upon surrender of this Warrant, duly endorsed, to the office or agency of the Company described in Section 3.   • A ssignment Contractor shall not assign any interest in this Agreement and shall not transfer any interest in the same without the prior written consent of County except that claims for money due or to become due Contractor from County under this Agreement may be assigned by Contractor to a bank, trust company, or other financial institution without such approval. Written notice of any such transfer shall be furnished promptly to County. Any attempt at assignment of rights under this Agreement except for those specifically consented to by both parties or as stated above shall be void.
