Academic Terms. The partners of this Agreement guarantee that the proposed joint doctoral educational programme will be built on a scientific basis and be pursued so that high quality is achieved. working thesis title The proposed title of the thesis can be found in the ISP (Appendix B) of the doctoral student. learning outcomes The learning outcomes that have been decided for the joint educational programme can be found in the general syllabus (Appendix A). individual study plan An individual study plan (ISP) shall be established at the time of the start of the doctoral education. The ISP shall define the study plan and explicitly indicate academic, research, financial and administrative modalities related to the doctoral students’ participation in the programme and the amount of time to be spent at each partner university. The ISP shall be followed up regularly, at least once a year, and may be revised after mutual recognition. intellectual property The doctoral students, the supervisors and the Partner Universities will comply with the relevant policies of both/all Partner Universities with regard to intellectual property in order to protect the doctoral students’ research and the publication of the research results. If there is a conflict between the intellectual property regulations of the Partner Universities, the doctoral students, the supervisors and the Partner Universities agree to resolve this by mutual agreement. UmU applies the principle of “professor’s privilege”. Therefore UmU claims no ownership over results produced from the work of the doctoral student in his/her research project. However, UmU reserves the right to freely use general techniques, systems and methods in further research and teaching, that are developed or utilized by the doctoral student within the research project. Assessment and examination The doctoral students will be required to complete assessments of his/her doctoral research work in accordance to the rules and regulations of the Partner Universities. Final examination for the award of the joint degree of Doctor of Philosophy will consist of: A written doctoral thesis A single public defense The doctoral thesis will be presented and defended at a public defence. One person shall chair the oral defense. A faculty opponent, not chairing the examination, shall be appointed to perform the public defense. Study abroad students may participate in either SCU's fall or spring semester, or for one or more academic terms within an academic year. Study under this agreement may not exceed one year. Academic Terms. Upon receipt by VCU of completed application materials, GAA students are guaranteed admission to VCU and may expect the following: No distinction will be made by VCU regarding credit received for college courses applicable to the AAS degree that are taken through dual enrollment arrangements with high schools. Credit for courses completed through Advanced Placement, Cambridge, CLEP, DANTES, International Baccalaureate, and Armed Services experience will be accepted according to stated policies for acceptance of credit, which can be found in the VCU Undergraduate Bulletin for the year the GAA student enters VCU. For these credits to be accepted by VCU, GAA students are responsible for submitting the necessary transcripts or documentation of this additional coursework to VCU no later than the conclusion of the first semester of enrollment at VCU. A minimum grade of "C' must be obtained in each course the student wishes to transfer. If a student repeats a course and receives a grade of "C" or higher, the course will transfer. VCU RN-BS students are awarded a total of 39 upper division proficiency credits from their AAS degree (reflecting an assessment of their prior learning and clinical work experience) after successful completion of NURS 308 at VCU. Thirty (30) of the last 45 credits must be earned at VCU. The VCU RN-BS curriculum has 32 credits in the nursing degree to be earned at VCU. The total minimum number of credits required for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing is 124 credits. See Appendix 1 for a sample student transfer summary.
Academic Terms. 1. Students earning an Associate of Arts degree at Sauk Valley will meet academic requirements for admission to Augustana College. Admitted and enrolled Dual Applicants will be eligible to enroll in junior-level courses, though they would still have to meet individual course prerequisites. Courses taken by Dual Applicants at Sauk Valley to receive their Associate of Arts degree completed with a grade of “C” or higher may be considered for transfer of credit at Augustana. Augustana will evaluate courses not included in the General Education Core Curriculum (GECC) or without an Illinois Transfer Initiative (IAI) code for transfer eligibility based on an official transcript from Sauk Valley.

Ability to satisfy eligibility criteria for immigration sponsorship Students are selected without regard to race, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender, marital status or disability Disclosure of any requests for academic accommodations must be made in a timely manner to determine whether there are resources at SCU that may be available to address these expectations. University is responsible for preliminarily screening and nominating students for this program, and for ascertaining that each student is proficient in the language of instruction at the host institution and likely to benefit from a particular course of study. While the host institution will generally accept the candidates nominated by the home institution, SCU reserves the right to make final admissions decisions with respect to the candidates proposed for the study abroad and "Study Abroad to LLM" programs. Application Deadlines Study abroad students to should apply to SCU by: April 15th for Fall Semester and Full-year participation September 15th for Spring Semester participation "Study Abroad to LLM" applicants have the same application deadlines as the study abroad students.
