Academic Professionals. If a full-time Academic Professional is given an additional work assignment (other than non-traditional work assignments under Article XI. Workload, Section L.) that will likely result in the member working an extra full day or more beyond the applicable annual base load, the Supervising Administrator will document the assignment and the amount of approved workload credit for the assignment and provide copies of the document to the member and to the responsible Xxxx or designee. If a non-teaching assignment cannot reasonably be completed within the approved workload hours, the approved workload hours may be modified by written agreement of the member and the responsible Xxxx or designee. Any full day of the approved workload credit for the assignment that is not absorbed in the member’s remaining annual base load (e.g., through schedule modifications, etc.) before the end of the academic year will be compensated as overload at the applicable part-time rate for the work at the member’s current step on the pay scale (or the maximum part-time step, if lower).
Academic Professionals. Full-time employees whose work is necessary or adjunct to the teaching of students or to research functions of the university.
Academic Professionals. 1. All Academic Professionals in the bargaining unit shall be eligible for consideration for merit awards. Merit awards shall be given for recognition of exceptional performance of the duties and responsibilities set forth in Article 19 of this agreement. Specifically merit awards shall be given principally for (1) outstanding effectiveness of performance as an academic professional; (2) significant continuing professional growth as demonstrated by scholarly activities such as continuing education, participation in professional activities, contributions to the profession, and publication of reports, articles or other works pertinent to employment as an academic professional; and (3) effectiveness of service to the College or School and/or Temple.
Academic Professionals. If a full-time Academic Professional is given an additional work assignment (other than non-traditional work assignments under Article XI. Workload, Section L.) that will likely result in the member materially exceeding the applicable annual base load (i.e., requiring that additional work occur over an extended period of time, resulting in work above a reasonable full- time assignment), the assigning Chair or Director will document the assignment and the amount of approved workload credit for the assignment and provide copies of the document to the member and to the responsible Xxxx or designee. Any part of the approved workload credit for the assignment that is not absorbed in the member’s remaining annual base load (e.g., through schedule modifications, etc.) before the end of the academic year will be compensated as overload. Such overload assignments will be compensated at the applicable part- time rate for the work at the member’s current Step on the pay scale (or the maximum part-time Step, if lower).

  • Paraprofessionals 4.3.1 Paraprofessionals employed by the Charter School shall meet all qualification requirements imposed by applicable federal and State law, rules, and regulations.

  • Professionals For projects involving installation or construction services, the Grantee agrees that only licensed professionals will be used to perform services under this Grant Agreement where such services are called for and licensed professionals are required for those services under State law.

  • Professional Development Activities Professional development activities are activities initiated by individual faculty members or groups of faculty members and may include attendance at conferences, workshops or seminars which facilitate the following:

  • Design Professional The architect or engineer or architectural or engineering firm selected by Owner (i) for the design and preparation of Contract Documents governing the construction of a Project, or (ii) for construction contract administration under the Contract Documents, or (iii) for both, all such services and the scope thereof to be set forth in the Design Professional Contract. The Design Professional is not an employee of the Owner but is engaged or retained by it for the purpose of performing design and construction administration services for the project. The term “Design Professional” includes architects, engineers, surveyors, designers, and other consultants retained by the Design Professional.

  • Professional Dues The school district will pay the annual dues for the Superintendent’s membership in the American Association of School Administrators, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Nebraska Council of School Administrators. The Superintendent’s membership in other professional organizations will be considered annually and may be approved at the discretion of the school board.

  • Scope of Professional Services 3.1 On the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, COUNTY hereby engages CONTRACTOR to provide all labor, materials and equipment to complete the Project/Service in accordance with the Scope of Services, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Attachment A, as modified or clarified by Addendum(s) # , dated , attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Attachment B. It is understood that the Scope of Services may be modified by change order as the Project/Service progresses, but to be effective and binding, any such change order must be in writing, executed by the parties, and in accordance with the COUNTY’s Purchasing Policies and Procedures. A copy of these policies and procedures shall be made available to the CONTRACTOR upon request.

  • Professional Development Program (a) The parties agree to continue a Professional Development Program for the maintenance and development of the faculty members' professional competence and effectiveness. It is agreed that maintenance of currency of subject knowledge, the improvement of performance of faculty duties, and the maintenance and improvement of professional competence, including instructional skills, are the primary professional development activities of faculty members.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.
