Academic Life. Placement of international students is subject to assessment by the Board and the availability of appropriate spaces and programs in schools. While the Board takes into consideration requests for placement at a particular school, the final decision on any placement is determined solely by the Board. International students will be placed in a regular academic program and may receive English Language Learner (ELL) support based on English Assessment results and available programs. International students are not eligible for designated programs and services (e.g. special education or alternate programs). If a student is found to have special needs requiring designated services after enrolling in the program, the Board will not be able to accommodate those needs and the student will be withdrawn from the International Program. I understand that international students are expected to follow the same course requirements as Canadian counterparts. The student will maintain a minimum grade average of “C”, and if not, do whatever is necessary to improve his/her academic performance. This may include receiving tutoring at the student’s expense. ● I, the undersigned student, agree to attend all assigned classes, to be on time unless I am excused due to illness or family emergency. All excused absences require a parent’s phone call or note. ● I, the undersigned student, agree to complete all homework and class assignments. ● I, undersigned student, agree to make a consistent and determined effort in my school work, to attempt to maintain passing grades, and to maintain good work habits in all subjects. ● I, the undersigned student, agree not to participate in any cheating and/or plagiarism. I understand that any infractions of the rules listed under clause 3 of this agreement will be documented and addressed by program staff and school administration. Students may be dismissed from the International Program if not progressing academically, without refund of any kind.

Academic Life. Ayusa is an academic program. Students are responsible for attending school and achieving a C or better grade in every class. They must follow all aca- to attend due to behavioral or academic problems, the student may be dismissed from the Ayusa program. Xxxxx does not in any way guarantee that students may enroll in twelfth grade classes, graduate, or receive a diploma from a U.S. high school. Students must accept and obey their school’s policies. Students are solely responsible for obtaining the necessary documents required by their home country for accreditation or convalidation. Ayusa staff and host families are not responsible to assist in this matter.

  • Academic Program The Charter School shall operate the academic program in accordance with this Agreement, the Charter School’s Application, and applicable state and federal law, including providing at least the same equivalent time of instruction as other public schools and complying with assessment and accountability laws and rules (T.C.A. § 49-13-111). If the Charter School is performing below standards, the Authorizer may review the academic program. The Charter School will notify the Authorizer of any material changes to the academic program that are a change from the Charter School’s Application, and the Authorizer will evaluate to determine if they are material changes to this Agreement. Any changes to the school structure shall be considered material to this Agreement and shall not be permitted unless a formal amendment to this Agreement is secured in advance according to the provisions outlined in T.C.A. § 49-13-110(d), Commission Rule 1185-01-01-.04, and this Agreement. For purposes of this Agreement, school structure shall be defined as the academic focus or goals of the Charter School and grade levels served.
