Academic and Administrative Pension Plan. 23.5.8.1 For all academic staff members who are eligible to join the plan, enrolment is compulsory. Notwithstanding the above, academic staff members with term appointments may elect not to join the plan providing the University and the Faculty Association agree. This shall be an option only under extraordinary circumstances (as for instance when the member already belongs to the pension plan of another employer) and only with the express, written agreement of both the Faculty Association and the University.
