ABSENCES WITHOUT LEAVE. Any absence of an employee from duty that is not authorized by a specific grant of leave of absence or taken as earned leave shall be deemed to be absence without leave. Any such absences shall be without pay and may be grounds for disciplinary action. All benefits will be pro-rated accordingly. In the absence of disciplinary action, any employee who is absent for three consecutive days without leave shall be deemed to have resigned, but such absence may be covered by a subsequent grant of leave without pay if in the judgment of the College President there is good and sufficient reason for the absence provided within a reasonable time.
