Absence Not Covered by Leave. (a) Any absence not covered by approved leave shall be deducted from an employee's salary and may be a basis for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 8.03.

Absence Not Covered by Leave. Any absence not covered by one of the leave provisions of this article shall be without pay. Each day of such unpaid leave shall be deducted from an employee’s salary at the employee’s current per diem rate for each day of absence.
