Abolishment of Position. 2 If Rim of the World Unified School District proposes to abolish a position or class of 3 positions, Rim of the World Unified School District shall notify the California School 4 Employees Association Chapter President in writing, at least (2) months, if possible, prior to the 5 Board of Trustees meeting wherein said action is to be taken, and Rim of the World Unified 6 School District must meet and negotiate with California School Employees Association on the 7 reclassification and retention of unit member(s) affected. Abolishment of Position. In the event that any administrative positions which are covered by this contract are abolished through district reorganization or some other reason, the incumbents will be given prime consideration for any other vacant position for which they are qualified, properly certified and/or legally eligible.
Abolishment of Position. In the event that an administrative position covered by this contract is to be eliminated, every effort will be made to notify the Administrator whose position is affected as soon as possible. Written notification will be given by the Superintendent of Schools, as soon as possible. Written notification will be given by September l0th for any position to be abolished at the end of the fall term and by February l0th for any position to be abolished at the end of the spring term.
Abolishment of Position. Whenever the Binghamton City School District Board of Education abolishes a position covered under Article XXXXII, the services of the unit member with the least seniority in his/her position be discontinued.
Abolishment of Position. A unit employee shall not be eligible for a sabbatical leave if the position he/she holds is abolished as a result of withdrawal by all component districts from that service.
Abolishment of Position. If the present position is abolished, employees shall be notified in writing thirty (30) calendar days prior to the abolition date, and be placed on a preferred hiring list for a period of four (4) years from date of separation. If the first (1st) person on the list refuses an offered position, she will be deleted from the list and the second (2nd) person on the list shall be offered the job until all persons are either rehired or deleted. Seniority rights to be followed according to Civil Service ruling regulations. Notice of Staff Reductions Bargaining unit members will be notified in writing of any proposed reductions in bargaining unit positions thirty (30) calendar days prior to such reduction. School Closings - Snow or Other Emergency Days When school is closed due to snow or another type of emergency, bargaining unit members are required to report, unless due to said condition, the Superintendent excuses all staff. In a situation when all staff are excused, and a bargaining unit member is asked to report, said bargaining unit member(s) will be paid at twice their hourly rate for the time worked. In the event of early closings, bargaining unit members may leave the building when authorized by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
Abolishment of Position. If the present position is abolished the employee shall be notified in writing fifteen (15) days prior to the expiration date.
Abolishment of Position. (2000) An employee whose position is abolished may exercise his/her seniority within his/her classification first, failing which within his/her Department, failing which in the Seniority Group, to displace an employee with less seniority, provided he/she has the qualifications to perform the work. Said employee shall, within five (5) calendar days of the abolition of his/her position, make his/her choice in writing, to the Director, Human Resources, failing which he/she shall forfeit his/her seniority and his/her name shall be removed from the seniority list.
Abolishment of Position. Whenever a teacher to which this Article is applicable is notified that teacher's particular employment shall be abolished in a category, the teacher shall be given that employment in the same category to which the teacher is entitled by seniority. If the teacher shall have insufficient seniority for employment in the same category, the teacher shall revert to the category in which the teacher held employment prior to employment in the same category, and shall be placed and remain upon the preferred eligible list of the category from which the teacher reverted until a vacancy shall occur in such category as entitled by seniority.
Abolishment of Position. 61. (a) If a Unit Member position is abolished by the District, the Superintendent or his/her designated representative shall notify said Unit Member of said abolishment, in writing, by certified mail, return receipt requested, immediately subsequent to adoption of a resolution by the Board abolishing the said position ("Board Resolution").
